I decided to start up the Woodcraft business after I had built a few items for the livery yard that my two daughters 4 horses are stabled at and had some great reactions from other people. I realised that there is a need for well built general items that we all use while caring for our Horses. Don't know why that should surprise me really as we have been buying stuff for years that, while not chea
p, is also not made of the best quality materials or particularly to last, in my view, more built to a budget. I am based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire and primarily supply to the local area. I will deliver free of charge to a 30 mile radius of Westhill and over that a reasonable charge to cover fuel costs would apply. A bit about me:- I worked in the Oilfield for over 40 years all over the world and when the opportunity arose fairly recently I took early retirement and have enjoyed a bit of family life and getting my Golf handicap down to 16. I am not a time served Joiner or Carpenter but am good with my hands and have always done my own DIY projects and many, many moons ago was employed in the building trade. This may take a bit of extra time but maintains quality over quantity and that is one reason why I can adjust dimensions and shapes to what you want so it fits your needs exactly. I don't do cheap and cheerful. My products maybe more expensive than some out there but are strong and sturdy, are built to last, and made from quality local wood. It is what I call "Rustic built" usually with ruff sawn treated timber that I cut and dress as required. I take pride in sourcing the Timber I use from reputable suppliers that are FSC Certified and committed to responsible Forestry. I use qood quality screws and heavy duty Galvanised Coach bolts where required to add strength and durability. Overall I make simple, sturdy products that are made to last you or your business many trouble free years. A bonus for me is that I also enjoy doing it as an extension of a hobby.
