WHR was recognized tonight at the Northeast Georgia Hay Contest Awards Dinner. We received 2nd Place Award for Alfalfa Hay and 3rd Place for Grass Baleage. Travis puts in many hours and has gained so much knowledge over the last few years with our different hay crops. We are very proud to receive this recognition! Thank you to UGA Extension and UGA Extension Oglethorpe Co.

While she is green for her age, she just attended her first ever show and blew everyone away with her mannerism, acted like an old pro! Miss B is as safe and sane as they come. She is best suited for an advanced beginner or intermediate rider looking for some extra time in the saddle and learning the responsibility of having your own horse without the full commitment.

Kel-Mac Saddle Club is putting on a trail ride to benefit our friend up the road, ReDux Equine Rescue Inc.!
$20 to ride w/ lunch or just go grab some yummy BBQ lunch for $10!

Each of these riders have tackled multiple challenges from unexpected horse changes, overcoming fears and mental blocks… you name it! They have worked their tails off to overcome their individual challenges and it shows. I can’t wait to watch them continue to grow together this season🥰

🔅Emma & Marshmallow Dreams (who have only known eachother for a week!!) pulled out a
2nd in their pleasure, 1st in Eq and landed reserve champion in her LTD division! She also handled his sass and many refusals like a CHAMP, stuck with it and finished out her course!

🔅Meagan & Deemed Dangerous won their crossrails and pulled out their BEST flat placings to date with a 4th & 2nd out of 10+ riders!

🔅Olive & Deemed Dangerous (😂) had well deserved placings with a 3rd in pleasure, 3rd in Eq, and 1st place in her canter class.

🔅Amelia & Life’s A Peach have worked SO hard and it really showed with their 2nd & 4th place finishes in crossrails, 1st 13 & under pleasure, 1st 13 & under Eq and Champion 13 & under!

🔅Paisley & Little Maggie placed 2nd in pleasure, 5th in Eq, 5th in canter and reserve champion in her LTD.

🔅Bryson & Sox Appeal were the least squeaky Rusty stirrups and earned good placings in some large classes! Yaz’s first flats, ever… jumper turned hunter?! 🤔🤪

Thank you Newton County Saddle Club for a great show!! We can’t wait for the rest of the season.
