Direct capture for K9 Buddy. Responded to assist South Carolina Highway Patrol with a suspect that fled on foot after a vehicle pursuit. K9 Buddy led us to a shed a short distance from the suspect vehicle where the offender was located hiding inside.

Uriee Update:

Merry Christmas to Everyone…It is still extremely sad we do not have Uriee and with the holidays coming for all of us, we are missing Uriee even more. We are grieving the Holidays without him, disgraced at the people involved who continue to create pain and suffering on all of us at such a delicate time of year. To the family who has him, we hope you would do the right thing and let him come home to his rightful owners.

We have additional information such as Uriee’s stolen owners’ females name potentially starts with a “J”, she was ALL OVER Facebook, they have property and have horses. So, we are asking anyone who is in the horse world to please spread this picture far and wide to your farriers, people you get hay from, eventers, horse barns, anyone and everyone in the horse world…please share so we can find who these people are that have our Uriee. She also shares dog rescue pages and pictures, so people must know her or this couple. PLEASE, do the right thing and share this page everywhere…especially her face as she is the one who has the Facebook presence.

The lawsuit is moving forward and there are some upcoming deadlines approaching. So, we will see what comes from those deadlines. The lawsuit continues to be expensive, continues to provide all of us grief, pain and suffering from the the people involved with Uriee’s theft.

The criminal case is still active and pending and we await to see when the City of Coeur d’Alene Prosecuting Attorney’s Office will be pressing charges for the Grand Theft of Uriee, Abuse and Neglect of Uriee and Others and Malicious Injury of Uriee along with getting justice for all the other animals that endured Abuse and Negligence per the Police reports.

To the family that has Uriee:
Please let him come home and do the right thing. He should have never been put in this situation and is a helpless victim and it is not fair to him or to any of us that you are keeping him from us. Please do the right thing, especially since the people who started this did not do the right thing.

In July 2024, Uriee, a beloved service dog, was being boarded at a kennel during a family emergency. Tragically, during his stay, the facility where he was boarded was shut down by authorities due to neglect and other concerns. Amid the confusion, Uriee was taken and later sold without the knowledge or consent of his owners, Smith Pak Working Dogs LLC and Marla Haller. Despite extensive efforts to locate him, including working with authorities and personally funding investigations, Uriee remains missing.

To date, we have spent over $30,000 on investigative efforts. These efforts have uncovered key details, such as who sold Uriee, the location of the transaction, and other critical information. Unfortunately, some of the individuals involved have been uncooperative, and the process of bringing Uriee home has been painstakingly slow.

For us at Smith Pak Working Dogs LLC and for Marla Haller, Uriee is more than “property”- He’s family. The thought of him being in an unfamiliar place, possibly scared or confused, is heartbreaking. This situation feels like losing a loved one, and we are committed to doing everything in our power to bring him home.

This GoFundMe is raising funds to:

1. Cover legal expenses to pursue justice for Uriee’s unlawful sale and hold those involved accountable.

2. Cover legal expenses to defend against a countersuit accusing us of defamation, which is compounding the emotional and financial toll on us as we fight for Uriee.

3. Continue efforts to identify the couple who currently have Uriee and ensure his safe return.

The legal proceedings are active under Case No.: CV28-24-7120.

On 11/28/24, DFC Levindoski and K9 Sarge assisted the Virginia State Police in locating a suspect who fled on foot following a brief vehicle pursuit. Before initiating the track, the suspect was positively identified and found to have multiple outstanding felony warrants.

K9 Sarge tracked the suspect for over a mile through the woods, navigating along a creek bottom and adjacent ridgelines. The track led up a hillside, where the suspect was discovered attempting to hide behind a tree. Upon being spotted, the suspect fled again on foot through the woods but was swiftly apprehended without incident by assisting deputies.

Uriee November Update :

We are continuing to try and identify the couple in the photo. Please share this far and wide…we need to reach them.

Marla and Smith Pak Working Dogs have filed a civil lawsuit against the parties involved in the disappearance of Uriee. We are in the early stages of the lawsuit, but I will keep everyone updated.

It’s being suggested that the primary individual we believe has information about Uriee’s location is planning to file a countersuit against us. This is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard of… and it makes me fear that additional information about Uriee is not quickly forthcoming. So, we will need all your help to keep the search for Uriee alive.

BIG REMINDER:
Uriee’s shots are due in December – Letters and Flyers were mailed to all veterinarians in Washington and Idaho – If you go to the vet anytime in the next 60 days, please confirm your veterinarian knows about Uriee and will notify me if they come in.

If you would like for me to send or email you flyers to take places and post or to hand out, please message me and I will get them to you.

I also want to say thank you to everyone who is continuing to check in with me on found dogs, potential pictures/leads of the people in the photo and information regarding Uriee. Keep them coming.

Please write to the prosecutor regarding the cases involving Uriee. Help me get Uriee justice against the people who have caused him harm. My understanding is that the case is at the prosecutor’s office for Grand Theft, Animal Abuse and Malicious Injury – Please consider writing to demand justice for Uriee and other animals. You can email the prosecutor Nick Lepire at [email protected] – You can refer to the three case numbers involving Uriee: 24c30507, 24c29454 and 24c36323.

We will also be starting a GOFundMe – to help fund our prosecution of and defense in the civil case. Please watch for this and if you can help, we would greatly appreciate it.

This amazing litter is 1 today! I was so excited when these guys were born!

Truman has become my absolute pride and joy - taking after his parents (Zyler and Quinn) - He is also named after my dad and my grandpa which makes him even more special.

I love that these guys are my third generation of Smith Pak puppies and they continue to prove just how amazing my lineage is and the type of German Shepherds we produce.

Airway Heights Police congratulated Officers Davis, Narcotics Detection K-9 Handler Officer Baker, and K-9 Kimber on an investigation Thursday that investigators credit with taking fentanyl and a firearm out of our community.

Davis, Baker, and K9 Kimber executed a search warrant Thursday. They seized quantities of fentanyl as well as a firearm.

Officers Davis and Baker, as well as K-9 Kimber, thank you for your dedication to the safety of our Airway Heights community and for your efforts in preventing lethal fentanyl from being trafficked and poisoning our families, friends, and neighbors.
