Happy National Dog Day to ALL the pups out there, but we’ll give a special shout out to our mascot, Monty, who heads in for his 2nd TPLO surgery tomorrow morning 😭

I will be forever grateful for this little rascal who inspired me to start this fun and fulfilling little business 10 years ago! I get to spend my days with the sweetest, most amazing dogs, and I am beyond lucky to participate in their joy every week.

Long live dogs and send Montego all the positive vibes for his surgery tomorrow!

Do you dream of taking your dog hiking leash free?
Do you want your dog to be able to play with friends but know he will come back?
Do you want your dog to be able to go to family BBQs and know they won’t take off?

Well let’s make that a reality!

We will be offering a 4 week group class on all things recall! You will learn to properly e collar condition your dog. Once your dog is conditioned and understands the collar pressure then we will start to “proof” the command. We will work up to off leash reliability.

Each week you will get homework to prepare you for the next weeks class.

This will be a FUN experience for you and your dog. Which will ultimately lead to even more carefree adventures.

It will be rain or shine outside.

Cost: $500 (includes high quality e collar, long line, treat pouch, & freeze dried treats $250+ value)

Located: Barre Town Elementary School

Time: 5:30- 6:30 pm
Dates: Wednesdays
6/5, 6/12, 6/19, 6/26

Ps: If you have an e collar you would like to use please message us. We will only use high quality collars but are happy to use good e collars that are already owned.

Came home from our vacation to some heartbreaking news… Harley’s family had to say goodbye to him over the weekend, and we are just crushed. I can’t even begin to convey the sadness we feel for Harley’s family or express how deeply the loss of his presence out at camp will be felt.

Harley has been a staple of the GMCC family for nearly a decade. He was one of the original campers to join in the first years of running my business and I loved him from the very moment I met him. His outward appearance was that which made strangers cross the street when I used to leash walk him in Winooski , but his heart and his personality were so goofy and infectious that you became instantly enamored with him.

Harley had an infinite list of nicknames, was an absolute powerhouse of athleticism in his younger years, an agile swimmer, expert digger, stick destroyer, and all around master of disguise with his telltale trick of turning himself into a crocodile the second he layed down in the river. He truly lived his very best life, right up until the end.

Oh Harley, what I wouldn’t give to smooch that sweet face of yours one more time.

Please send our love to your fellow campers who are waiting for you on the other side… I know they greeted you with wagging tails and a speedy game of chase.

Rest is peace, Sir Harlesworth. You were one of the greats 💔

There are so so many wonderful things about this job, but the absolute worst part of it is saying goodbye to our pack members. Riley’s family lost him unexpectedly this week, and heartbroken doesn’t even begin to cover how we feel over this loss.

When Riley joined our pack, I immediately knew he would be a great fit. He was speedy and happy and oh so easy to love. Over the years we watched him gain confidence in the water and become so relaxed and happy around the pack members. He helped me train and welcome so many new friends into our pack, and I am so incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to spend time with such a joyful soul. Riley boy, you will be missed beyond words. Say hello to all of the other GMCC angels up there and know that you will always be with us on the trail ❤️
