This 8 yr old papered gelding called "Flame", came to us about a week and a half ago, with limited riding history, including some leadline for kids, and a couple of trail rides with the current owner, a return client, who knows, and quickly recognized the difference between gentle and "rideable" and "broke". Starting his 90 day program for a solid foundation, his ground manners have improved immensely, and as you can see, he is getting soft, doing very well. While you can see near the end of this video from Tuesday, he still had moments where he tried to "bully" his way into getting his head, reverting back to general horse instinct, and he is now about ready to graduate to driving in a ring snaffle, and when we have the same softness there, he will be ready to ride. I could easily get on him now, and a lot of people would, but, this is a tried and true method we have used here for 20+ years, and (especially in horses 5 yrs of age and older), will instill solid habits of softness and willingness that will last this horse his lifetime, and will be broke to ride for just about anyone. This is the reason we stress at least a 90 day program to start with, no matter how gentle, so we can give you back a horse that is ready for a lifetime of success.

Yesterday was day 2 with this coming 2 yr old Sunfrost/DashforCash filly called "Tilly". She has a great mind, and we already have a good start in driving lines, and mounting, and will continue the same until she is soft, driving in a halter, and has graduated to driving softly in a ring snaffle, before we go ahead and ride her off. This ensures a safe, solid handle that will last her for her lifetime, able to utilize every ounce of talent and ability she has, without any setbacks.

We would like to thank everyone who came and roped with us yesterday. We were blessed with an excellent turnout of 114 teams, and we ended the jackpot so early, we ended the evening with a round robin. We look forward to seeing everyone back at our next production! God is good 🙌🏻☝🏻
