We got to meet this one of 8 stunning mini Nubians this evening for disbudding day when we realized this stunning girl may be polled!

I’m not sure which are available but if you want to see some of the prettiest high quality mini Nubians we have seen, check out Rainey Blue Farms! She has the best pendulous ears, and Roman noses! If you want true breed standard minis check them out.

Quick reminder:
For disbudding does MUST have CDT during pregnancy to cover kids OR you have to have tetanus antitoxin handy to give kids when we disbud or I will NOT be able to disbud the babies. I will not risk causing tetanus in your babies. It may be worth the risk for you but it is not for me.

It is currently out of stock everywhere I have looked for. Please please please order as soon as you see available.

**Stud Services**

It’s breeding season now!! Perfect time to breed for early spring kids. Goats bred today should be due in late March which puts us past most of the freezing days!!

We are offering our boys for stud. Registered Nigerian Dwarf boys and some mini alpine boys available.

You will just need proof of negative disease testing. We can help pull the blood for you!

We can also help demonstrate how to use an ultrasound to confirm pregnancies.

Let me know if anyone is interested in stud services this next month. We are nearly done breeding here so all boys available

We respect every farm and their individual choices for how they choose to care for their herd!
I fully understand some people being anti-vaccine and we are still willing to help you care for your herd and abide by your choices!

If you do choose to vaccinate we highly recommend Bar-Vac brand. This is what we use for our own herd!
I like dosing my own goats before breeding and again 30-45 days before the kid (so twice a year for my own) to be sure kids have protection for tetanus when we disbud. (I hate doing tetanus antitoxin for babies!)
Babies are given CDT at 6 weeks, again 3-4 weeks later and then a yearly booster minimum.

If you choose NOT to vaccinate there are two medicines we highly recommend to keep on hand.
Clostridium Anti-Toxin and Tetanus Antitoxin.
Those are two medicines that can save their life and are 100% necessary to pull them thru if they get clostridium or tetanus.
Learn to recognize early signs and symptoms so they can be used immediately if they do get sick!

Vaccinating for prevention won’t 100% guarantee they won’t get those diseases either so we recommend these for EVERYONE to keep on hand.

If you need help getting your goats their yearly boosters let me know and we can schedule that during their regular hoof trims!

I have an opening in Arkubutla/Lake Cormorant area next Tuesday and open to any Desoto/Tate/Marshall county stops on Thursday next week! Contact me to schedule appointments today!!

*Disease Testing*

Learning to draw blood to do your own disease testing is a great skill for any goat farm! We can come pull blood for you OR we now also offer classes to train YOU to be more self sufficient for your farm.

Blood draw lessons will be done on your farm, on your own animals. I can demonstrate, and watch you pull blood yourself. And teach you how to do the paperwork and discuss different disease options.
The class is the $150 minimum stop fee (includes blood draws for up to 30 goats. $10/goat for every animal over 30)

We have some extra red top tubes we need to use up quickly thanks to the kind donation from Deer Valley Farm Nigerian Dwarf Goats after our farm call there today.

As always, we also have our other services available and ready to book an appointment!
PM for scheduling.

Now that our kidding season is finally over we are free to start setting appointments again!!

*Disbudding- can be done here almost ANY day as convenient for you. $10/goat
- This is best done around 7-10 days old generally or as soon as you feel buds coming in.

*Hoof trims- We require each farm to have their own hoof trimmers. We we trim and train you to do your own and those trimmers can stay there for you to do your own feet between services. We recommend scheduling services every 6 months and you doing basic upkeep inbetween

*CDT/Banding- both of these services are $5/goat
We recommend boys have 2 CDT before banding and banding done at 10-12 weeks minimum. CDT we do at 6 weeks, 10 weeks and every 6 months after for our own herd but do what works best for your farm.

*Ultrasound- This is for fun only and non diagnostic. We are not vets. It is illegal to perform diagnostic ultrasound in MS if you are not a vet. We can demonstrate for you how to use a machine to see if your goats are pregnant or not after 30-45 days bred for donation only.

Minimum stop fee is $150, so if it can be done here we highly recommend to save you money!
