Romney Wool is a favorite of mine. It took a long time before handspinning “clicked” with me. I tried many different types of wools over a long period of time and it usually ended in frustration and me putting the spinning wheel back in the corner. I purchased some Romney roving at a fiber show and sat down at the spinning wheel and started spinning, and it just all came together! I actually spun some yarn and enjoyed it! The longwools give your hands a little more time and the wool just practically spins itself. (IMO) I enjoy spinning many different types of wool but the longwools will always be a favorite of mine. 🤎
