Sheep roaming the pastures. This time of year, they have free choice hay, but they still get plenty of exercise browsing the fields.
Dream or not-itâs hard work, and everyday brings new challenges.
Prim is a Tunis ewe, she was born on the farm. She now belongs to the old ladies club. She will need some extra attention through the cold winter months.
Sheep moving back to pasture
The sheep rarely get locked in the barn or barnyardâŚexcept when itâs -30 F. They were happy to get their freedom back.
Carding Wool Roving
Apple orchard on the carding machine-this wool was dyed locks, and just lightly hand picked, so it has a little more texture.
No music this time-just the sound of the carder. This is what the mill sounds like. Wearing ear protection is always a good idea when working with loud machinery.
