THE FOLLOWING DOGS ARE AVAILABLE FROM RPSM:

ELEANOR – NO TRAINING – 2 year old Beagle, weighs around 22 pounds. Good with other dogs, cats, an kids. Eleanor will require a standard fence to keep her safe.

TEDDY – 1 yr old Male Lab mix, weights 48 lbs. Good with dogs and older kids. Is interested in cats that were in his foster home. Introduce your slowly.

CHIDI – 1 yr old hound mix, weights 80 lbs. Good with other dogs, cats, and kids.

Donate your returnable cans & bottles this Saturday, February 8th at Family Farm & Home, Coldwater from 10:00 until 2:00. BARC will also have cat vouchers available and we have a few styrofoam cat houses left. BARC will also be collecting dry cat food for our outreach program. As always, BARC volunteers thank you for you continued support.

Spay and Neuter your pets! It will help reduce the numbers of pets thrown into the shelter unwanted by their owners. Then, it's putting pressure on the animal rescues that care more for these animals then their owners do to get them out before they are euthanized. What a sad world where animals are worth so little to just throw them away.

This is what it looks like when you surrender your dog to a shelter. This is from a dog who was dropped off to the shelter after being in a quiet home, with a bed, with a family. This is diarrhea from having an upset stomach. Have you ever been so anxious to the point where you get sick to your stomach? This is a 24/7 feeling for a dog who has been surrendered. “Where is my family?” “Why am I in a cage?” “Why are all these dogs barking at me?” Imagine one day you’re taken from your luxurious life and thrown in prison for no reason, never to see your family again. Did you know 50% of dogs who are surrendered to a shelter don’t make it out? Pets are a lifelong commitment. Do not get an animal if you cannot financially, emotionally, or physically care for one. Newsflash, there is no such thing as a perfect dog or cat. They are expensive and a lot of freaking work. The loyalty of an animal is unmatched. They would never do it to you, so don’t do it to them
