I would like to thank Gateway ASC for inviting me to judge a beautiful lineup of Australian Shepherds on Friday, August 16th.
Please feel free to post any win pictures.
From there I flew out on Saturday to join Blue Ridge ASC and meet some nice dogs. Thank you BRASC for having me judge!

Thank you Ellie Lang for referring the Kiel family.
Today I met the sweetest little 7 year old girl. Her mother sent me videos of her at class training. Meranda, her mother called and we talked about e what likes Kayla wants in a puppy. We figured out together what puppy would fit her needs. I let the selected group out she could pick from and he went right to her. She played with them all and he was her pick. Love at first site really.
Kayla you’re going to have so much fun with him. I can’t wait to watch this teams progress.

To the public and any potential dog show enthusiasts, we have made a decision to hold any future breedings.
Covid made people fill their homes with puppy mill dogs and rescues, to the point where they were transported to several northern states.
Then there was the doodle craze. Claiming to be hypoallergenic (NOT). Shedless, no again.
This has hurt the breeders that take pride and care in their carefully heath tested, x-rayed, eyes tested by a licensed animal ophthalmologist and DNA’d for health issues you can’t see in dogs and bi***es. This is to bring you the quality YOU deserve when picking a new addition to your home for years to come.
With that being said, I have decided to pass on this opportunity to you. Take pride in owning a quality puppy. Qualified homes.
Australian Shepherds do not make great apartment dogs. They are aim to please, tops on intelligence, loyal and great family dogs. They can have a job herding or be your camping buddy.

Many years ago, we were interested in getting a show quality Australian Shepherd. Kelton (8) and Sandy (4) were with me at a show in Janesville and really just starting out and our first Aussie just wasn’t turning out.
I had been showing for about a year when Danielle walks up and said, we have puppies. Her mother invited several people over to see the pup, including some of the greats like Ann Gibbons and Linda Wilson.
Both start picking up puppies and twisting them this way and that as if measuring them.
Linda goes back to one she had gone over and says, this one Judy. Ann turns and agrees that she was the pick bitch. I named her Badgerland’s Whistling Dixie.
I watched Danielle and Kelton grow in junior handling together. They were tough on each other in the ring and outside the ring. They were best of friends.
Sunday she lost her battle to cancer at a far to young age, leaving behind her family.
My heart is breaking and even though she called me a year ago and told me about her cancer, I wasn’t ready to let her go!
RIP DANIELLE, you were taken to rest too soon, but I do believe our paths will cross again. I know there are dogs in heaven so give ours a hug for me.

Pro tip:
I have learned that if I completely ignore my dogs for the first 5 minutes that I am home, they calm down a heck of a lot faster.

I’m a little late on my post from the Waukesha Dog Show. Waukesha was having veterans class so I had talked to a few people and said I was going to enter Apollo, who is 10 and a few others said they’d enter their veterans too. THE OLD BOY STILL HAS IT!!!! Apollo took Best of Breed and his sister pulled in Best Opposite under Judge Nioma Stoner Coen Proud breeder moment for sure. SUNDAY 7/30 Apollo does it again! Winning Best Of Breed And made the 1st cut in group. And here I entered him just so he could have fun because he loves to show. Thank you to my son and co-breeder for expertly handling him and making him shine.
