Like a lot of us farmers in the area, we lost our whole blueberry crop to late frost this year. At least there were enough late bloomers for a few snack handfuls 🫐

Bryanna here, signing in to share this sweet interview and subsequent podcast episode I did in 2020 with CAFF. Fun, and a little sad, thinking on this time of intensity, expansion and re-evaluation. It’s remarkable how quickly and dramatically things can change and makes me a little tearful to hear all my silver linings from that time. 2021 was a year of transformation and while it’s not over yet, I already cherish the positives of all the changes we made room for after the year of the symphylan implosion. I hope you’ll give a listen. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming with Sydney. 💚

Hey farm friends!
We’ve been going through some big changes this last year.
First I’d like to introduce myself, Sydney, if you don’t already know me from the farming community. This will be my tenth (?) year farming and my third season at Stones Throw. I’m a Wisconsin transplant but consider myself more of a California native now after 8 years. I’m super stoked to be taking over Stones Throw with lots of help and advising from Steven and Bryanna and other farm folk!
And left is my right hand gal this season, Wiley! She just got here last month from Pennsylvania to learn more about production farming. She’s a rad film photographer too so you’ll be seeing some of her photos here. We’re very happy to have someone here who is so psyched to learn.

Due to some serious pest problems last year we’ve retired our main field for the time being and moved to a different area on the property. Unfortunately you won’t see us at the markets anymore (for now), nor will we be doing U-Pick or CSA boxes. But starting next month you can bet you’ll being seeing our salad mix, head lettuce, flowers, and some seasonal berries and
