Our Miniature Schnauzer Puppy went to the vet to get her tail taken care of. She was a big girl and did not seem to bother her.

Then Rio and our Miniature Schnauzer Puppy went for a Road Trip today to see the flooding in the Eau Claire and Durand areas.

And of course, we stopped off to eat at the Panther Drive-In in Durand. Hawaiian Floats are the best. Sorry, not for puppies.

Mom and our Miniature Schnauzer Puppy went in for a vet checkup.

Vet said mom and puppy are doing great. Going to remove the dew claws today, but wait for the tail for tomorrow.

Then home to get some puppy feeding.

Happy 1 Day Birthday Daisy

Our new Miniature Schnauzer puppy, who has been named Daisy, had her first one Day Birthday today.

Both mom, Rio, and baby, Daisy, are doing great.

We Have A Puppy

I am happy to announce we have a puppy. One female puppy born to Rio at 6:47 pm this morning, Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

Mom and baby puppy are doing extremely well.

Baby puppy is the Energizer Bunny. Going and going unless she is feeding.

And Still Waiting.

Day 65 and still no Miniature Schnauzer Puppies.

Rio is resting and while we wait anxiously for the puppies arrivals.

Day 64 of the Rio Adventure and we are still waiting.

Yesterday was Rio’s due date, Day 63, Saturday, April 9, but we were not blessed with any puppies.

Today Rio is moving slower. Going for really short walks. Seems to be puffing more than her normal self.

Tummy is still getting bigger.

We will see what the night and tomorrow brings.

Today we went to see Rio’s vet. The puppy’s skeletal systems have calcified enough to be seen in an x-ray.

Even though the vet is not Rio’s favorite to visit, the vet said Rio looks great. Healthy and happy and really pregnant. Quick exam and off to get and x-ray.

Upon Rio’s return we get to see the x-ray.

We see two Miniature Schnauzer puppies. How exciting!!!!! Just to make sure, we take Rio for a quick walk and a second x-ray. We still have two Miniature Schnauzer puppies.

During week 9 of Rio’s pregnancy, our Miniature Schnauzer puppies are fully developed and are preparing for their arrival into the world. Rio seems calm as she nears the end of her pregnancy.

Exciting news, we felt puppies kicking Rio’s tummies. Every so often. Feels like there is a football game going on.

We continue to monitor her closely for any signs of discomfort or distress, and provide her with plenty of food and water to support her and the developing puppies.

We are making sure that the whelping box is clean and comfortable, with soft blankets and heating pads to keep the puppies warm. We also have all necessary supplies ready, including clean towels, scissors, and a suction bulb.

During this time, we also prepare ourselves for the delivery process, ensuring that we are calm and focused in case of any unexpected complications.

Overall, week 9 is a crucial time as we await the arrival of Rio’s Miniature Schnauzer puppies and prepare for their safe and healthy delivery.

During week 8 of Rio’s pregnancy, our Miniature Schnauzer puppies are rapidly developing and growing. At this point, they have fully formed skeletons and their organs are continuing to mature.

The puppies’ coat is also starting to become more noticeable, and their eyelids have opened, allowing them to see for the first time.

Rio has started show signs of nesting behavior, as she prepares for the arrival of her puppies. We make sure to provide her with a comfortable and quiet space to rest and nest, and continue to monitor her closely for any signs of discomfort or distress.

Overall, week 8 is an exciting time as we get closer to the arrival of our adorable Miniature Schnauzer puppies.

Welcome to the Seventh Week of Rio’s pregnancy update! This week marks the final stretch before the puppies’ arrival, and excitement is building up as we prepare for the birth.

The puppies are now fully formed, and their organs and body systems are functioning correctly. They are little walnuts, and their fur is becoming more defined and luxurious. The puppies are also continuing to develop their personalities, and we may be able to feel them moving around inside the mother’s tummy. Although I have not felt anything yet.

As the puppies grow, the Rio’s body is working hard to support their needs. We are continuing to provide Rio with high-quality nutrition and plenty of water to keep her hydrated. Maybe even a little corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick’s Day. A girl has to celebrate.

Grandpa continues to take Rio for her daily walk. A casual two-to-three miles around the neighborhood. Rio is still enjoying playing in the 2 feet of snow in her yard.

Overall, Rio still seems like our Rio. Using my over active imagination, I think her tummy is bigger.

In the Seventh Week, we are finalizing preparations for the arrival of puppies. We have a lot of supplies ready, such as blankets, towels, and are are still working on a whelping box.

Overall, the Seventh Week is an exciting time as we prepare for the puppies’ arrival. We’re thrilled to be a part of this journey and can’t wait to see what the upcoming weeks have in store for us! Stay tuned for more updates.

We are thrilled to announce that we are expecting a litter of miniature Schnauzer puppies, and we couldn’t be more excited! These little bundles of joy are sure to bring lots of love and laughter into our lives and the lives of their future families.

Our Rio is expecting. Due date is April 8, 2023.

The Miniature Schnauzer is a breed known for its friendly and affectionate nature, making them great companions for families of all sizes. With their distinctive beards and eyebrows, they are also one of the most recognizable breeds out there.

These puppies will be raised with love and care, ensuring that they are healthy and happy from day one. We can’t wait to watch them grow and develop their own unique personalities. We know that they will make wonderful additions to any loving home and bring joy to all who are lucky enough to meet them.

We are expecting the standards AKC colors for the miniature Schnauzer: salt and pepper, black & silver, and solid black. The father, Kash, is a beautiful salt and pepper and our girl is salt and pepper also. The puppies should be salt and pepper, but might have a black & silver or solid black.
