ALERT! WADDL has diagnosed EHM in our area. This is a EHV 1 virus. The AAEP has some good information on this virus. Both horses had been at the J Spear arena and we do not know when they were exposed. If you have been to this arena in the last 21 days we recommend you take your horses temperature twice a day. Call if the temperature is above 101.5°F and we can test for the virus. We have an immune therapy that we are using on exposed horses. Please try not to travel with your horse and don't vaccinate if your horse is exposed.
