We are on the brink of our 5 YEAR anniversary!! 🤩 I can’t believe how fast time is going! 😮‍💨 It’s that time of year where a few announcements and reminders are in order!

🐾The holiday season is very busy and we book up quickly! So book NOW! 🐾 Thanksgiving and Christmas are 3 day minimum reservations as we are not open the day of the holiday. NO PLAYCARE.

🐾 A couple closures coming up!
🎄December 13 - 15, we closed for our family Christmas out of town.
🏝️ February 4 -12, we are closed for our annual family vacation.

⭐️ IMPORTANT ⭐️ We are a family operated and home based business. ALL drop offs and pick ups are BY APPOINTMENT! We have had multiple instances recently where arrivals occurred 45 minutes to 1 hour beyond the agreed appointment time 🤯🥴. These appointment times are crucial for our daily planning. Our life revolves around the appointments. If we decide on a time, please be respectful of that time as you would with any other appointment. If you are going to be more than 10-15 minutes later than the agreed time, you may need to be rescheduled. Please notify me IMMEDIATELY if you are running late.

🐾 This is also our home! Please respect it as such. Please do not enter without being greeted. This goes for the backyard as well.

🐾 Text, email, Facebook messages are VASTLY better for me than calls right now. It is hard for me to answer and hard for me to call back. I will return voicemails but it may take me a couple days. So please use one of these text methods for a quicker response. And please, please, please text me with your questions, not simply a request for a call back, that defeats the purpose entirely 🫶

Wow!! It’s been a LONG time since I’ve posted anything! All is well here, we’re staying busy with business and baby and all the other family things 🤩.
We are here for YOU! new clients and existing clients alike, we’re back to normal full swing! Thank you for your patience with reply times and other communications.

Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner, so be thinking about and booking your time NOW. Thanksgiving will book up quickly now and space is already limited for Christmas! 🤯

REMINDER: the thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are 2.5-3 day minimums as we are CLOSED for drop offs and pick ups on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

As always, TEXT is always best for me! Returning phone calls is very difficult in this season. Feel free to text the business line, send a Facebook message, email, or submit a request through the website! Please allow at least one business day for a reply.

💙💙 Family Update 💙💙
Many of you know this already because you’ve had recent reservations, but one week ago our new little boy joined the world! We made it to May, but he was still a couple weeks early. (4 weeks early)

✨ Ezra Dana Arnold ✨ May 4th, 2024 ✨

We are all smitten and Bryce adores his little brother, though he hasn’t spent much time with him yet. Maizy has also not met him yet, but I am confident she’ll love him as much as we do!

His arrival was almost exactly a week after Greta’s passing 😭. It saddens me that she didn’t get to meet him.

Ezra is still in the hospital in Eau Claire feeding, growing and maturing enough to come home.
That said, you won’t see much of me until he’s home, but Justin is doing an amazing job caring for your pups and I couldn’t be more grateful. With Justin handling all of the dog care, drop offs, pickups etc, appointment times are crucial, and any special instructions should be communicated at drop off. You will still be hearing from me to organize things!

💵 At this time (until I am home) payment will need to be made with cash, check, or Venmo. 💵

Greta - January 11, 2008 - April 26, 2024 💔😭

Today may have been the hardest day of my life so far. Today we said goodbye to the constant, steadfast, staple in our lives… Greta 😭
16.5 years is a long time for any dog and leaves a huge void when they’re gone. Watching her deteriorate over the last few months has been really hard. I know a lot of you could see it too.
But what a life she had!! She took a plane ride from Boise, Idaho to Norfolk, Virginia when she was 8 weeks old and stole our hearts immediately 😍. She was feisty, spunky, eager to please and easy to train.
She was always a social dog, so she literally made hundreds of friends in her life.
She is the namesake of this business, and man, what a legacy! Greta's Play & Stay, LLC would not be what it is without her. Our entire philosophy of care is based on what I wanted for her when I needed her cared for. She was too social to not get to play with friends!
She definitely had her struggles too, but she was resilient through them all.
She was one of a kind for sure and she will be deeply missed 💔😭.

To those of you who knew her, you feel our void and I would love to hear some of your favorite memories of her!

Goodbye for now sweet girl. We love you and will never ever forget you. 💔😭
The hardest part of loving them is letting them go.

I know we’re halfway through March but here’s some of the fun we had in February! (With a little shout out to my husband’s new business Midwatch Industries thrown in 🤩 )

It’s been a wild week! No less than 18 dogs any given day 🤪 (some days more like 20+) Most of these pups go home tomorrow leaving a few openings for next week (March 18-24) for more spring breakers! If you’re in need of care, I AM taking new clients still through the end of April!

📣Maizy has a very important announcement to make! 📣

As many of you already know from an earlier post, our family is expecting a baby early this summer! 👶🍼💙
With the rapidly approaching addition of this little one, we have made the tough decision to only accept current and established client reservations for the months of May and June 2024 🥺. ❤️WE WILL STILL BE OPEN❤️, just no new clients during those months. This will offer my husband and our hired help some consistency if they are familiar with the dogs they are caring for. This will also give me some peace of mind while I recover and focus most of my attention on baby. I will post an update as soon as I feel comfortable accepting new clients again, but will likely be in time for the July 4th holiday.

A couple things to note!
🐾 A New Client is a dog or family of dogs that have never stayed with us before.

🐾 If you are a new client and you already have a reservation booked for your dog(s) during those months, no worries you are still good to go and we look forward to having your pups! (Thank you for booking early! 🥰)

🐾 If you have a reservation need that begins in April and extends into May, we are still happy to help!

Man, it’s been a while since I posted the fun we have here!! So we’ll start fresh with sharing some of the fun we had in January! I have been terrible about taking pictures 🙈 so if your pup was here and you don’t see them in this post, I’m sorry 🤦‍♀️.
It’s been an interesting start to the year and we are looking forward to the coming months. We had a few new pups this month!

We are filling up for Spring Break, so get your reservation requests in now!

Our sweet Greta is 16 today!! 🤯🤩🥳
She’s pretty much been the best dog ever! She’s had an incredible life and been through so much. She’s definitely starting to show her age, and for now she is comfortable and happy 🥰. We are grateful for whatever time we have left with her. If she’s awake the next time you’re in, make sure to give her some extra love ❤️.
