Full Board to include:
14x14 stall with mats, fans, shavings, free choice coastal, cleaned 2x per day
Grain included
Provided supplements fed

Facility wide de-worming program (with fecals!)

Join our fall intern team! Our interns learn alongside staff during feed shifts and then dive into weekly management workshops on topics such as first aid, budgets, nutrition and more. TAMU internship credit (can add to your class still!) and semester stipend available!

Join our Team!
The Stables at Millican Reserve is looking to add an outgoing college student to our team. We are a small boarding facility in South College Station with 20 horses and a quiet community!

Our staff work independently, or with interns, and have the opportunity to both share and expand their knowledge! Prior horse experience is required. Typical barn duties include:
Feeding and watering horses
Cleaning stalls
Turning horses in and out

Dependable transportation, positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a love of horses is a must!
Fall semester availability must include Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings from 7:30-10:30am and one weekend per month.
Compensation: $10-$12/hour.

First weekend of summer shifts down!
All the horses did fine after the storm last night and were loving the cooler weather today (and the fresh mud to roll in, of course 😂)!

Carol and Leo are doing great learning who eats what where, discovering everyone’s little quirks, and keeping those troughs and stalls nice and fresh 👌🏼
They had an extra helping hand from Scarlett this evening who’s excited to get to help her mom (Krista) at the barn again!

We had a great Meet the Team dinner this evening and got to say hello to our new Assistant Barn Manager, Sloan, as well as our two new interns for the summer- Carol and Leo!
We also said “see you later” to Abby who is leaving to start a new and exciting adventure in Austin after 4 years at Millican.
Thank you to everyone who came out! We look forward to seeing everyone that couldn’t make it and can’t wait to take care of these sweet horses for you this summer 😎🐴🌞
