Breeding, killing and selling dogs for their meat will be banned in a country where it has fallen out of favor. Hundreds of thousands of the animal were still being bred for human consumption.

One of the greatest humans to have ever lived has passed on. Chuck Beaston you were a true friend not only to the Gracieland staff but to all animals, from the geese you fed, the deer you admired with child like enthusiasm and of course all dogs especially Maxwell and Maggie Bean. You were family to us and you will be forever missed. We love you!

UPDATE!! Hopper has found a new FUREVER home!!! Thank you to everyone for helping him find his new people!!

Can you help Hopper find a new forever home?

His current owners are heartbroken about having to rehome him but they're moving and can't bring him with them.

Hopper is a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepher Mix and will be 1 year old in March. He's neutered, current on all vaccinations, and current on his monthly heart worm prevention. He is fantastic around with kids and other dogs. He hasn't been around cats so we're not sure how he would react but given his super sweet nature I would venture a guess that he would love cats as well.

He is one of the sweetest and loving big boy's you will ever meet, I (Mike) can personally attest to this fact as he has quickly became one of my favorite visitors here at Gracieland. He loves his ears scratched and head rubbed and will give you that love "lean in" which just melts your heart!!
