The tiniest patient award goes to Ike!

Little Ike was found with a severe eye injury that resulted in Dr. Davis preforming an eye enucleation surgery, which is a permanent solution for unresponsive eye conditions. Removing the painful, infected, necrotic, damaged, or cancerous eye completely will ideally eliminate the problem, as well as preventing the condition from spreading.

Thankfully Ike has the best medical team and is making a full recovery at home, we love you brave little Ike! 🥰

Ear mites (otodectes-cynotis mites) are common. They are parasites that normally live in the ear canal and sometimes on the surface of the skin. Ear mites cause a condition known as otodectic mange. While not life-threatening, ear mites are contagious to other animals and can cause severe irritation to your companion. This is just one of the many causes of ear infections. Signs/symptoms include head shaking, scratching ears, drooping ear flap, dark brown material in ears, inflammation and pus. Contact our office if your pet is having any of these signs.

February is Pet Dental Health Month, and it's a great time to check in on your pet's chompers. Great dental health promotes better overall health and it's important to stay on top of preventative care.
