More farm fun in Germany, today we spent the day in the city of Bamburg, at the castle , in the city square, and the farmers Market, well it had nothing on The Tulsa Farmers Market just a little old city charm.

More farm fun , well today was our last day for the season at the Tulsa Farmers Market, thank you to my youngest daughter Emma for all her help today,
The Lord blessed us with a very productive and profitable season . Thanks to my helpers aka grandson's Tristan , Martin and Spurgeon for all your help, also a special shout out to my Brother Greg who came on our peak week thanks Greg .

More farm fun, we’ve been having a bumper crop of tomatoes this season. My brother Greg came down from Indiana to help with the harvest, uncle Greg is a favorite with everyone, we hated to see leave today after the market.

More farm fun, well we will have some Beefmaster tomatoes tomorrow at the Tulsa Farmers Market so come early because we will sell out fast . We are raising our prices by .50 cents, our cost’s are going up like every thing else so we are just trying to cover those costs, thanks to our faithful customers who have buying tomatoes from us for the past 20 years.Blessings

More farm fun Had a great Father’s Day yesterday here I am with Mirah, I picked our first Beefmaster on Friday and promptly ate it on a BLT ,I don’t post food photos I’m sure you don’t care what I’m eating except for tomatoes . The number 1 question at the market is Doug when are the tomatoes going to be ready , soon I may have a few this week if it stays hot. Sweet Corn pickers.The golden hour.

More farm fun , bean pickers aka as grand kids picking green beans. We took lots to the farmers market on Saturday along with new potatoes, flowers and bread. The red flowers are Ranunculus very pretty but hard to grow.
The golden hour is one of my favorite times of day.

More farm fun ,well we have a new farm hand aka grandson Colan Douglas number 26 for those who are counting. He was born this past Saturday. He and momma Erika are doing well. The tomatoes are doing good and so is everything in the garden. We just need a little sunshine with rain.

More farm fun, well we plowed up everything and then disked it and planted our cover crop of clover , oats, buckwheat, turnips,and winter rye, it’s looking pretty good. Thankful to our Heavenly Father from whom all blessings flow.

More farm fun, well it was a fun summer, we had a very good garden season with lots of tomatoes and flowers, one of our largest tomatoes Big Bertha won first place at the Collinsville Tricounty fair. After our farm garden season was over we vacationed at Robert’s retreat a hunting and fishing lodge with a private lake and covered boat dock. It was fun for all.
We are now preparing for the fall cover crop and looking forward to next year.

More farm fun, well all good things must come to an end. It’s been a very good season here at Hearts Desire Farm ,sadly last Saturday was our last Saturday at the Tulsa Farmers Market. Our faithful customers were sad at the news, I told them there will be some still coming on so they can come to the farm or I’ll be taking some to the Farm hippie 1008 W Main in Collinsville my home town. Thanks to all of you that have made this season fun and successful. Many blessings.

More farm fun. Well a lot of things have been happening on the farm ,we are in the middle of our annual harvest of Beefmaster tomatoes,my brother Greg was a good sport and came down from Indiana to help out. We also grew the largest tomato I’ve ever seen 2.66 lbs I’ve entered it in the largest tomato contest at the Farm hippie. We were at the Tulsa Farmers Market today , had some help from Greg and grandson Tristin.
The Hemphill’s were out at farm last week and had fun getting tomatoes and picking flowers.

More farm fun, well yesterday we we’re making hay , and stacking it in the barn thanks to my friend Reese and assistant Hannah. My granddaughter Norah is checking out the flowers in the garden which is one of her favorite things to do,while Spurgeon was helping last market day, this Saturday we have tomatoes.
