Meet Speckles, a resilient 5-year-old cat that is a super sweet love bug. His journey began in the roughest of circumstances, when he was found in a barn in East Greenville—thin, hungry, and battered from past mistreatment. His body was marked with wounds, evidence of a hard life, and it took time and patience to gain his trust. Once safely inside, Speckles blossomed into the affectionate, biscuit-making love bug he was always meant to be. Now, Speckles loves nothing more than curling up with his human and making biscuits as he purrs in contentment. Though he has FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), Speckles is in excellent health and can live a long and fulfilling life. As long as he’s kept indoors and given lots of love and attention, he’s all set for many more years of happiness. He would prefer to be the only cat in the household, as his past trauma—being attacked by other cats—is how he contracted FIV. He’s ready to be your one and only feline companion, giving you all the love and affection you could ever need. Speckles is proof that no matter how rough the start, love, patience, and a second chance can heal even the deepest scars. This sweet survivor is now ready to live the rest of his life surrounded by care, comfort, and the warmth of a loving home.

Coconut, a big, fluffy beautiful 1 year old tuxedo boy, is a love fest blossoming! This handsome fellow came from a not so nice situation so it has taken him about three weeks to adjust to his new surroundings. Now he enjoys being petted and brushed and will gladly show affection. He does still scurry to his safe spots under the bed or sofa if he perceives the movement is too fast, but he soon emerges and joyfully meows his presence. He has the tiniest most adorable meow. He loves his canned food and treats which will endear him to you pretty quickly. His foster mom would love to find him a quiet home with cat savvy folks who will give him the time he needs to adjust but the reward of his love will be well worth the wait. It would be nice if he had a friendly cat buddy, too, maybe Simone who came from the same home as him. Meet Pippi! You know how some folks like to be the center of attention? That's not me. I'm supporting-actor-material all the way. I like to sit back and observe (maybe judge a teeny tiny bit, too, because I am a cat you know). When it comes to playtime I love to be the center of attention! I love interactive play with my favorite humans. I will walk up to you and rub against you for some one on one attention. I've lived through a whole lot. I used to struggle to get enough to eat at the cat colony I came from, and then our elderly feeder died and we had nothing to eat at all. When Stray Cat Blues stepped in, half of my colony was so sick that they did not make it. I was one of the few lucky ones! I am a very healthy, FIV positive, kitty. Most cats with FIV live long, comfortable, normal lives, even with other cats. My foster room friends are all FIV-negative, and we get along just fine! Which is awesome, because I love other cats. Meet Luna! Luna came from Neshaminy Falls in Montgomeryville, where a kind woman was feeding her until she moved away. Given that Luna was already spayed and declawed when she was rescued, we believe she was once a beloved pet before being lost or abandoned. This gorgeous 8-10 year old, long-haired girl has come a long way in learning to trust people again after surviving on her own. Now, she happily greets you with gentle leg rubs and enjoys being around her favorite humans. Luna has a playful side and loves wand toysbut on her own terms. She also adores being brushed, as long as you respect her boundaries. Luna would thrive in a calm, quiet home without young children, where she can be the center of attention as the only pet. However, they are very submissive to most other cats, so we thought they would both need to be only cats.
