THANKSGIVING DINNER!!!
So, I have decided to, once again, cook a full Thanksgiving Dinner for those who would not otherwise have one!! It can be for those who could not afford one, those who are alone or those who have no one to prepare dinner for them! It will be “homemade”…all from scratch…and include; turkey, sage stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry compote, cornbread and a couple desserts! It will be delivered to their homes on Thanksgiving Day! I am limiting it to 75 people and 2 dinners per household. So, would you, or someone you know be interested? Again, this is not just for those with low income…but those who are alone, also! *Recipients must live within a 10 mile radius of Coloma, for home delivery.

For those wanting to help…
I will need 1-2 volunteers to help cook (Tues 26th & Wed 27th ), 1-2 volunteers to help plate up dinners on Thanksgiving and a few people to deliver dinners that day! I, also, have 2 people (so far) donating towards the cost of the food, but if anyone else can…that would be wonderful! I am also needing donations of china, or ceramic, dinnerware to put the food on (I refuse to give anyone paper or styrofoam for a holiday meal)!

TOGETHER, let’s make it a wonderful day for those who’s lives we can impact! All of us have many things to be grateful for, in our lives, even in hard times…you just have to look for them!!

This beautiful girl still looking for a home! Itty Bitty & Eensey Weensey…chapter #2!
So, after his Vet visit, the best guess is that his mother may have had very poor nutrition, while carrying multiple babies, and so they weren’t nurtured enough in uetero. The only other possibility is that Itty is a true genetic dwarf. We are also questioning wether he has mytonia (fainting goat syndrome), which would explain the “spells” he’s had. Time will tell!
In the meantime, he continues to thrive! His weight is staying around the 1-1/2 lb mark, he has gained mass (he doesn’t feel so hollow when you pick him up), but he really isn’t gaining any height, yet! His attitude is great! He follows me around and had his first outdoor experience yesterday!
Several days ago, one of my smallest miniature sheep had twins. One was decent size and the other was tiny. It was cold out and the tiny one was struggling, even in a warm stall in the barn. I brought him in and Itty shared his space with him. They have snuggled together and it has even made Itty more eager for his bottles! Now, he butts the bottle to knock it out of the lambs mouth so he can have more himself…it’s hilarious to watch this TINY guy have so much s***k! They spent some time out in the sunshine yesterday and loved it! As you may have guessed, I have named the lamb, Eensey Weensey, and the two even look alike! Itty is dark brown with a white swirl on the top of his head and Eensey is black with the same marking! Eensey weighs just over 2 lbs at 3 days old, so is the younger “big” brother, lol!

FRESH, FARM-RAISED TURKEY??? We have an extra turkey, that we just butchered tonight, for sale. It is a BIG one...almost 35 lbs! All of our turkeys were April 2021 babies. They free-ranged, on our farm, and were supplemented with non-GMO grains. He is on ice and ready to be a Thanksgiving centerpiece on your table! Celebration this Saturday, August 21st, here at Blessings Farm! Several months ago, my friend since childhood, Sharon Hill, passed away while recovering in a rehabilitation facility. Sharon always said that when she died, she "would come back as an animal to live on this farm". This was the place that she loved...just being here and hanging out with the animals. This Saturday, we are asking anyone who would like to come and "hang out with us and the animals"...to come. We will be celebrating Sharon's life with memories of her, lots of good food, and good friends! She would have loved it! At some point, we will be spreading her ashes, as this is where she wanted to be! We are gathering at 4pm, or anytime after, to share a wonderful dinner of fresh smoked chicken, potato salad, pasta salad, baked beans and chocolate cake...if anyone would like to bring a dish to contribute...it would be welcome, but is not required! In these crazy and uncertain times, we would like to get together and celebrate our many blessings, and remeber those we have lost and who can no longer be with us. If you can join us, please leave a comment below as to how many people will be coming ( families are more than welcome), so that we can accurately plan for food. Thanks!!!

Fresh, non-GMO Chcikens! We have raised about 100 Cornish cross meat chickens...outside and fed an all non-GMO diet since hatched! They are ready to butcher now, but Dave is working more hours and we do not have the time to butcher them all! We are offerring some for sale, live...that you can butcher yourself! They are $2/lb, liveweight. These are bigger chickens, as most will butcher out to 7-10lbs per bird, but they are so tender and delicious! We have about 50 available. WANT MILK??? I have a customer, who gets her raw milk from me, who is on vacation for the next two weeks. She gets 2-1/2 gallons a week of Jersey cow milk (so LOTS of delicious cream!), and is willing to donate it to anyone who would like it...it is paid for, so would be FREE (unless you would like to give her a donation for it, but not obligatory). She usually picks up on Sundays...so it would be available either Sunday, Monday or Tuesday for pick up...this week and next week... (you would need yur own jars to put it in). So, if you would like to try a 1/2 gallon, gallon or could use it all...give me a call! My number is 269-468-3289.
