Thanks to Jim Goetz (tagging c/o Carolyn Fray) who picked up supplies from Beach Paws Boutique and worked on the dog park a couple weeks ago! Thanks to everyone who has volunteered with Colonial Beach Dog Park - Robin Grove, Colonial Beach VA Dog Park Supporters & Cleaning Staff, and/or Colonial Beach Rivah Dogs, to support Robin Grove Dog Park over the years. I had a meeting with the Colonial Beach Police Department Chief Parsons, the Town of Colonial Beach Manager Natasha Tucker, Parks and Recreation, Town of Colonial Beach, and Director of Public Works Chris Rutchy last week about the issues at the dog park. I told them about the issues that have been reported to me, including at least one dog who displays aggressive behavior towards other dogs in the park, and the failure of some folks to pick up after their dogs. We talked about multiple options for improving compliance with the rules as posted on the gate and written in our ordinance. Colonial Beach Rivah Dogs will fund a load of mulch and Public Works will pick up and deliver and spread. CB Rivah Dogs will also fund signs posted with the appropriate phone numbers to call to report inappropriate behavior by dogs and/or people.
