Troy Creek trains retrievers to perform proper gun dog work for waterfowl and basic upland hunting. Troy Creek trains retrievers to succeed in AKC, HRC, and NAHRA hunt tests at all levels. We also offer basic obedience to all breeds. Troy Creek teaches proper basics and gives each dog the foundation to acquire new s

kills. In short, we teach dogs how to learn and be successful. New skills are learned as part of an overall system and assist each dog in acquiring the next skill and moving through the training process. Owners are encouraged to participate and taught proper handling techniques for hunting and competitive retriever trials/hunt tests. We have hundreds of acres of farm land and ponds to train on, providing a variety of experiences for each dog. Give us a call to discuss your dog's potential.

• Experience is NOT required; though, applicants should be attentive to details and have a willingness to learn.

• Dependability and reliability are a must. Applicants should be comfortable working independently.

• Job includes maintaining kennel areas, grounds, and equipment, as well as airing, feeding and caring for dogs.

• Applicants should enjoy dogs, demonstrate patience, be trustworthy, and work well with others.

• Applicants should be able to perform light physical duties, to include running farm equipment, using hand and/or power tools, and using yard equipment.

Pink earned her 30th master this past weekend at the Back Bay Knotts Island’s fall AKC hunt test. Thank you to all the club members, workers, and judges who made it a great three day event. This is what Pink does when she isn’t crushing master tests. She spends most days lounging on unoccupied beds with her bestie, Trixie. Rockstars gotta do rockstar stuff, I suppose.

Thank you Wally at Swamps. They did a great job cleaning up some erosion that occurred over the winter, changing some of the elevations on the pond features, and creating mounds. Wally understood what I was trying to achieve, took time to listen to what I needed, and got it done with excellent professionalism. The best!!!

Cooper and owner, Jon Browning, bringing home the bacon. Cooper is just shy of 9 years old and was trained at Troy Creek several years ago. Here he swims back over 100 yards with a crippled goose. Great job, Cooper and Jon!
