Atlas is what we call "hands off" as though he really loves his own family, he isn't always a fan of other people. We can safely give him his food, water, he goes out in the attached run to potty and stretch his legs, and we toss treats to him all the time. He can't go out to play in the yards so he gets extra Kongs too so he can have something to do. Not that anyone wants to go out in this heat anyway! 🔥🌡️

No fireworks to speak of in our neighborhood, just in nearby Falcon. From inside the kennels you couldn't hear fireworks at all between the fans and tv/music. Just enough white noise to mask the sound. Outside was not loud. All dogs were checked on shortly after the shows started and were doing great. Nobody barking, panting, pacing, shaking, or any other signs of stress. A very successful 4th of July here!

Heads up! The intersection of Woodmen and Black Forest Rd will be CLOSED heading NORTHBOUND for several weeks. If you're coming from town and heading east on Woodmen, turn early on Tutt for the best detour to get your pup here. Southbound lands are open.

The City of Colorado Springs announced Northbound lane closures of Black Forest Road in effort to widen the roadway.
