We had a terrible Spring, but getting back on track. Took 9 rabbits to our friends at littlebunnyusa.com and finally finished the first covered colony. We'll share updates on the herd and our new bucks & does soon!

I'm going to be traveling from Colorado Springs to Louisiana. Going through Amarillo and Dallas/Ft. Worth and Shreveport. Are there any rabbitries that I should check out?

Some of the kits out & about today. Going to be rebuilding the colonies & installing supports in the middle this time! We'll be able to have four separate colonies this way & hopefully this will make it easier to keep track of the breedings.

Both of the rabbit colonies had their roofs cave in from our snow dump. Thankfully the tarps survived (shout out to Billboard Vinyls) and so the colonies are still dry... for now. There's only one place for the water to go.
Wish us luck as we try and come up with a solution. We have three litters predicted to come within the next week.

Sad day today. We had an attack and lost 5 baby bunnies from Notch's litter. Also, Caramel is in the same colony and we thought had a false pregnancy. Nope, she dug out a burrow under the water barrel and buried them. 6 kits from Caramel x Fudge.
If she re-bred right after when we think she lost, then she should be kindling in about 10 days. BBQ x Blueberry should be kindling around the same time, so we might have a bunch of babies right around the Equinox

Notch wasn't a big fan of me interacting with her babies! They get an extra feeding whenever I'm checking them out 🤣
