MSgt Link was waiting for dinner, but the sunset was just right.

MSgt Link is one step closer to being with the herd. He has been meeting everyone over the gate (please excuse the mess of gates and panels needed to make this possible). Belle seems to take naps and encourage calmness with Link most often. Whereas the other three are more active in their interactions with Link.

MSgt Link is settling in. He’ll be separate from the herd for 2 weeks for quarantine but he seems to have an admirer or two already!

Grey Guardian Farm is over the moon to welcome MSgt Link home! Link is a mustang with quite the resume, from initial training at the Wild Horse Inmate Program in Canon City, 6 years of service in the Army with Fort Carson’s Mounted Color Guard, and most recently, therapy horse at StableStrides. We are honored to be the retirement home for this amazing and goofy guy!

We forgot to post from last weekend! Eleanor went to her first clinic, solo! We are so proud of her. Once she saw other horses and knew she wasn’t alone she went right to work. We had a lot of fun at the long-lining clinic 💜

Dinner time at Grey Guardian last night. The herd is settling well. Belle Etoile spends some of her time playing with the youngsters, particularly with Royal, and some of it snoozing with Fancy. Eleanor is most suspicious and wary of her still. Rare to see three of them gently sharing one hay net!

Royal got his first big boo-boo. We have no idea how or on what, but he was an champ with getting his leg clipped so we could get it cleaned. Everyone was very worried though and had opinions about his care. He is recovering well ❤️‍🩹
