We forgot to post from last weekend! Eleanor went to her first clinic, solo! We are so proud of her. Once she saw other horses and knew she wasn’t alone she went right to work. We had a lot of fun at the long-lining clinic 💜

Dinner time at Grey Guardian last night. The herd is settling well. Belle Etoile spends some of her time playing with the youngsters, particularly with Royal, and some of it snoozing with Fancy. Eleanor is most suspicious and wary of her still. Rare to see three of them gently sharing one hay net!

Royal got his first big boo-boo. We have no idea how or on what, but he was an champ with getting his leg clipped so we could get it cleaned. Everyone was very worried though and had opinions about his care. He is recovering well ❤️‍🩹

Belle Etoile has begun coming to us even when we’re just mucking, cleaning water troughs, or collecting hay nets. She stands with us. Sharing her large presence is heartwarming and humbling.

Belle Etoile is settling in well. Building trust with us, getting used to seeing everything out in the plains, and likes the other horses (from afar).

Eleanor is always ready to work, play, or get some loving. She’s the first at the gate for her turn, and always stopping her feast to see what else is planned for the day.

The snow is moving in today! Belle Etoile’s new blankets came right on time. She was very happy to have one on this morning.
