Evening training from a few days ago with board and train Milo!
Milo came in for anxiety which was most likely from his previous home he was in. He’s come so far! Still an anxious boy at times but he’s enjoying training more and more as long as we keep sessions short. He was also not food motivated at all and will now take treats on our walks. Yay Milo!
I’ve been bad about posting updates of my board and trains, so to make up for it here’s a longer clip of Howie from a few days ago!
Building duration and distance on his place as well as duration on his down command. As you can see he broke it the first time, so I told him "no" corrected him back into a sit and asked for a down again. I never ask for commands more than twice and always say "no" before my second command.
Since the duration in a down is pretty new, I’m okay with this type of mistake, but in a few days I won’t allow it anymore and there will be no second command, just a correction back into a down and no treats, just a verbal "yes".
Some evening training with Copper, who got to spend thanksgiving with us! Working on place while there are distractions, pretending someone is at the door and tossing treats on the floor. So proud of how this boy is doing!
Some evening zoomies between training sessions with Copper!
Beginning of walk vs end of walk.
Copper is doing better and better everyday at walking with a loose leash!
Haku and I doing some evening training!
Some very nice loose leash walking with Major! I don’t even ask for a heel, he just knows that he gets treats when he stays right next to me 😊
Major doing really good on his basic commands! I always feed dinner while doing obedience, it makes them tired, reinforces obedience and makes them more food motivated!
Sweet Maggie went on her last social training session, and she did SO good. She settled very fast and ignored everyone, she was only focused on me the whole time, and waited for me to give her the “okay” before going up to people who wanted to pet her ❤️
Some loose leash walking with Maggie and Haku!
Being a dog trainer also means working in the bad weather!
Working on some recall around a group of birds we spotted, he did so so good!
Nice heel from both Maggie (7 months old) and Haku (6 months old). These guys play like crazyyy but when it’s time to work and listen, unless I tell them “go play” they are focused all the way through!
