Exciting news! We have added a new breed to our pack. This is Taiga’s Embracing a Starlit Fate, “Hoshi” the Japanese Terrier. She is number 14 in the United States, with the world wide total being between 500-600 total. I am thrilled to embark on the journey to assist in true preservation for the Japanese Terrier and hopefully coax numbers back from the brink. This is such a special opportunity and I am honored to have been chosen to bring this little lady home.

Brought Fergus out for his first weight pull today. He absolutely loved it. Jumping while pulling is not correct and is not desirable, but he showed so much enthusiasm and exuberance for the sport that the instructor let it slide. He is such a good boy and earned 10 points today toward his STAR title for weight pull!

We had our first show weekend in Denver, CO! This is my keeper from our Hozier litter. She is Nova Noir’s Don’t Tame Your Demons “Lilith”. Little lady won her first major this weekend which I am so proud of her for. Her future is bright ✨

We went from fuzzy puppy to big girl Black Russian yesterday. Lilith (from my Hozier litter GCh Sparta-Naissur I’m No One To Be Trifled With “Dread” x Ch Naissur I’m The Greatest Star “Amity”) has her first show this weekend! She is a nice girl and we hope to special her someday 🥰

I LOVE getting updates from my puppy parents! This is Mr. Otis (blue boy) from my Hozier litter. His parents say he is sweet and smart. Like a typical BRT, he is loving our cold Colorado weather, too. I am just so tickled with these babies and feel really lucky to be able to keep in touch with their families who are doing wonderful jobs raising them🩵

We got our last round of puppy vaccines today🎉 We are growing well and fast. Carbon is a cool 39lbs and lilith is coming in hot at 41.30lbs at 4 months old!

Just a little “pupdate”! This girl is not available, but she sure is cute. This is Carbon (previously my hot pink puppy). She travels back and forth between my house and her family’s home while they prepare to make a move into a bigger space. She is so incredibly sweet and sassy. I love watching these babies grow!

Amity had a great time at weight pull today. It has been a while and she needed to relearn how to stay on the tack but her second time around went so well. There’s nothing she won’t do if I ask her, and absolutely nothing this dog CAN’T do. I am so proud of her

Don’t mind my kid’s face🤣 but is there anything cuter than puppies and babies?? They are enamored with each other.

We are taking turns bringing puppies out for a little safe socialization and working on focus from distractions in public places.

But I SWEAR the dog was better behaved in Barnes and Noble than my child. Amity and I spent our time picking toys up off the ground and literally RUNNING into the next isles to find Marsali.

Lavender girl is spending some time out on her own with mom (and myself) today. She’s a sweet, spunky, and PLAYFUL baby. I just adore her💜

My sweet first born puppy went home yesterday. This is Blue collar boy. It was very bittersweet; I shed a lot of tears the night prior😅

I am very proud of the family he has been sent home to, though. They did so much research, asked so many questions, and prepared themselves as much as possible before bringing this special boy home. I could not have asked for a better family for him and I am so excited to see what his future holds🩵

Today is torture-the -puppies day at the house. Starting at 4 weeks of age, puppies get weekly baths and blow dries to begin the desensitization process for grooming. They are currently 6 weeks old and have had two s’paw days so far!

They have already been introduced to both the nail clippers and dremel at this point as we alternate between both once weekly beginning at a week or two of age (when we begin noticing puppies need it) and ENS procedures from birth get them used to having their paws handled

As you can see, this little guy is not thrilled to be blown dry, but is pretty accepting of it

Piglets had their first mush meal tonight and were moved to their big kid enclosure. They’re still not sure what to think of it but will hopefully catch on soon💕

Snap, crackle, POP! We are proud to announce Nova Noir Kennels is expecting its first ever litter of Black Russian Terrier puppies, due July 4th🎉

From Sparta and Naissur’s GCh “I’m No One To Be Trifled With”, Dread x Naissur’s Ch “I’m The Greatest Star”, Amity, comes the Star Spangled litter.

Puppies are expected to be stable, observant, and beautifully tempered; perfect for a family or individual. Some may have a higher drive for sports or work.

Amity tried weight pull for the first time over the weekend! She did great and is halfway toward her Star Certificate title! One thing about this dog is she will do anything I ask of her. Absolutely love her.
