Good news!!! We had our conditional use permit hearing with the Mesa county planning commission tonight and we were unanimously approved!! Next up we have our meeting with the Mesa county commissioners at the end of October and then we can hopefully get started building!!! Thank you all for your patience as we’ve been getting this project going!! We are so excited!

Happy Spring from Mesa Creek Pet Resort! It is beautiful up here in Mesa right now! Cross your fingers we hear back from the Mesa County Planning Department in May with good news and can start building!!!! We are eager to get started!!

Happy Monday, Everyone! We have some great news to share! After 18 months of putting together site plans, septic plans, building plans, changing well permits, designing and all of those fun things, we FINALLY were able to submit everything to Mesa County Planning for approval for our Conditional Use Permit! Yay! Now we just wait 6-8 weeks and if approved we can FINALLY start building!! Thank you all so much for your patience as we work through everything, we are trying to get up and running as fast as we are able! We are still happy to assist with all of your pet setting needs while you wait! We can't wait to share these amazing views with your furry loved ones!

We’ve noticed a large uptick of dogs running off or going missing lately. We’ve had similar issues with June running off and being a curious puppy. Just wanted to share some recommendations to help ease every pet owners mind!

We got this for June! https://tryfi.com it is a GPS collar that works amazingly well. Highly recommend. It lets you know when they leave home and you can see where they are on live. It also tracks steps, sleep and has an awesome “lost mode” you can set. The battery life is also 3 months long.

The frenchies don’t wander as far but they still wander. We got them Apple AirTags and attached them to their collars with this IPX8 Waterproof Airtag Dog Collar... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BGH2P4JQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It helps so much and we can always see where they are (within a certain range)

Hi everyone! Lots of new faces and I haven’t posted in awhile so I thought I would introduce myself! My name is Laura and I live in Mesa with my husband, 2 horses and 3 dogs! We love being outside with our animals and think that all animals should have the chance to enjoy the outdoors! I also have a bachelors degree in Equine Science from CSU and have been involved in rodeo for 14 years.

We came up with the idea for the pet resort when we were having issues figuring out what to do with our dogs on days we went skiing. We have a 30 acre property with Mesa Creek running right through it!

We just moved to our current property in January and have been in the process of getting it ready to start renovating for the pet resort. There are lots of things we need to do with Mesa county and the department of ag as well as construction to the building! We’ve been working on cleaning out the building and the 20+ years worth of stuff that was left in there. Slowly but surely we are getting there!

What activities do your furry family members enjoy doing the most? Hiking? Sleeping? Riding in the car? Swimming? At we will have a wide variety of activities, enrichment, outdoor adventure time, or relaxation available for your dogs, cats, and even horses! We have 30 acres of space for everyone to play and stay! Coming in 2023!
