Did you know?

Around 80% of orange cats are male due to the genetics behind their coat color. The orange hue comes from the X chromosome, and since males only need one copy to be ginger (while females need two), it's more common for orange cats to be boys.

Do you have a fiery little orange feline in your life?

Every year, approximately 6.3 million pets enter U.S. shelters, and many are the result of unplanned litters.

Spaying and neutering can help lower the number of unwanted pets that lead to overcrowded shelters, hurting the chances of available pets finding a loving home.

💖 This Valentine’s Day, show your pet some extra love while keeping them safe – and help keep other pets safe by sharing this post!

Here are a few Valentine’s pet safety tips to keep in mind:

-Keep chocolate, candy, and treats with xylitol far out of reach—they’re toxic to pets!
-Watch out for flowers like lilies, which are especially dangerous for cats.
-Be mindful of lit candles and decorations that curious paws might knock over.
-Secure ribbons, strings, and wrappers to avoid accidental ingestion.

Wishing you and your pets a safe and sweet Valentine’s Day!

The Cats Meow

Well hello there!

My name is Wednesday (yep, just like the Addams Family) and I live at Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital! Before you ask, no, I don’t need a home, because Carefree Cats is my home. I am the hospital cat and if you don’t mind, my hoomans would LOVE to tell you all about the veterinary hospital I call home and the minions who take care of me :)

Hooman, take it away!

Thanks Wednesday! Isn’t she great?! Ok, so for the business of it all. Here at Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital, we dedicate ourselves to specialize in Cats only. We place a high value on our feline patients’ distinct needs. Our hospital has a team of professionals that love what they do and challenge themselves daily to provide the best quality veterinary care for your cat(s). We are especially interested in delivering medical care to kitties in ways that help the cat (and their human family members) experience as little stress as possible. We aren’t just your everyday veterinary hospital either, we offer a wide range of services; from wellness exams and vaccinations, to sick or injured kitty care, as well as cat only boarding! Our hospital uses the latest advances in the veterinary industry with in-house laboratory, full body and dental digital radiology, and cold laser therapy. We are also a proud member of The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), an organization dedicated to the special needs of cats.
