Meow, Clowder!

Adopting a rescue cat is a beautiful act of compassion, but it’s also a journey. Many humans don’t realize how much time a rescued feline truly needs to feel safe. That’s where the 3-3-3 Rule comes in:

🐾 3 Days: To decompress
🐾 3 Weeks: To start settling in
🐾 3 Months: To feel truly at home

In the first few days, your new cat may hide, hiss, or seem disoriented. Don’t panic; it’s all part of the process. By three weeks, routines begin to form. After three months? You’ll start to see their true personality unfold.

Patience is the ultimate love language. Let them bloom in their own time, and you’ll earn a bond that’s deep, trusting, and unbreakable.

Paws & Purrs,

The Professor, Kitty Clowder Cat Ambassador

Happy Vet Day to our one and only Dr. Hov! You inspire all of us here at Carefree Cats to be better cat people 🐈‍⬛ Thank you for all that you do! Please help us celebrate our favorite cat doctor by posting your message below. Here is a little bit of what the cat staff has to say about Dr. Hov:

Marissa “Dr Hovanetz is one of the most selfless doctors I have had the pleasure of knowing. When it comes to caring for kitties I don’t know a single person who could do it better. We are all so grateful for the care you provide for not only our day to day patients but our own fur babies. You provide such a great example for us to follow when it comes to putting kitties first. I wouldn’t be where I am in my career without your professional advice as well. We have so many things to thank you for.”

Evamae “thank you dr hov for always being so hard working & caring. kitties are so lucky to have a dr like you who truly cares for them. i appreciate how you always give 100% even if you’re running on 20% because you’re truly passionate about helping kitties. i also appreciate you for allowing me the space and opportunity to grow and trusting me enough to teach me new things!”

Denice “Thank you Dr. Hov for how much you love kitties and the passion you show for them. I have never met another person who loves cats as much as you do and it fills my heart to know that my cats are also under your care. Thank you also for your support of all of us, and for trying to make our clinic special for everyone- clients, kitties, and staff. You’re the best!”

Maria “I can think of no doctor who works harder for their patients than Dr. Hov. You always go above and beyond to care for cats even when they are less than appreciative. ‘Hisses need kisses’! Even on trying days you never give up and always do what is best for the kitties. There is nothing better than knowing my cat and so many other cats are so deeply cared for under your practice. I can take great pride in working with you and learning from you as I continue to work at our clinic. Your passion for cats is why I love our hospital not just as a client but as an employee too. Thank you for everything you do!”

Jess E. “Dr. Hov you bring your sense of humor and caring personality to the table every day. Your passion for cats is unmatched. You are their biggest advocate and have a special language with them. You inspire all of us each and every day to be better cat caretakers.”

The Cats Meow

Well hello there!

My name is Wednesday (yep, just like the Addams Family) and I live at Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital! Before you ask, no, I don’t need a home, because Carefree Cats is my home. I am the hospital cat and if you don’t mind, my hoomans would LOVE to tell you all about the veterinary hospital I call home and the minions who take care of me :)

Hooman, take it away!

Thanks Wednesday! Isn’t she great?! Ok, so for the business of it all. Here at Carefree Cats Veterinary Hospital, we dedicate ourselves to specialize in Cats only. We place a high value on our feline patients’ distinct needs. Our hospital has a team of professionals that love what they do and challenge themselves daily to provide the best quality veterinary care for your cat(s). We are especially interested in delivering medical care to kitties in ways that help the cat (and their human family members) experience as little stress as possible. We aren’t just your everyday veterinary hospital either, we offer a wide range of services; from wellness exams and vaccinations, to sick or injured kitty care, as well as cat only boarding! Our hospital uses the latest advances in the veterinary industry with in-house laboratory, full body and dental digital radiology, and cold laser therapy. We are also a proud member of The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), an organization dedicated to the special needs of cats.
