Hi all! Our book review of "Brain Training for Riders" was postponed to August 13th, after our general meting. It is open to all RMDS members! Here is some more information on the book:

What is that nasty "red alert" voice that causes you to seize up when you show or clinic, when you horse tenses up at whatever and you're wondering if your horse is going to lose it?
How come when you sternly tell yourself to "shut up and ride" it doesn't work?
That is the focus of the book "Brain Training for Riders." This small, inexpensive paperback is a must read for all of us that berate ourselves for reacting even just thinking about the warm up arena!
The truth is that you need and want your Red Alert system. The truth is that it has been hard wired in every human since humans appeared on earth.
Given that, how do you deal with it so you can stay calm, think and reassure your horse?
This is a gem of a book written with honesty and humor by a high-level eventer and trainer.
She talks about herself, her fears, her students and their fears and what she has discovered to deal with her Red Alert system.

You can get this amazing book on Amazon for $16.99. We look forward to seeing you there! Here is the zoom information for the meeting:

The PPDS RMDS Show was held Saturday, April 20 at Latigo Equestrian Center, and it was a true testament to our riders! Inclement weather nearly disrupted the event, but fortunately, the show managed to proceed despite the conditions. Sometimes, nature’s unpredictability adds an element of excitement to our plans! ❄️

We salute all the riders and their horses for braving the cold, a total of 39 rides came down centerline. You all rocked it! Thank you 2 White Feet, Inc.. for running the show along with us!

See a rider/horse duo you recognize? Tag🏷️ them in the comments!

What a great read! 😍

Smaller equines are upping the fun for many adult dressage riders - and they’re holding their own against the big guys in the show ring. In this reprint from USDF Connection magazine, read why ponies are gaining more popularity: https://yourdressage.org/2024/03/07/ponies-not-just-for-kids-any-more/
