For those who have seen my story and wondered, “what the…?” This is a Christmas Pudding custom order that I made. I absolutely LOVE getting requests from customers who want something unique and this was exactly that. It was so much fun to create and even more fun to see the piggie, named Fig, enjoying it! Spread the word, please. There are way too many of our animal, reptile, and all species of friends who didn’t ask for this. Adopt, don’t shop!

So apparently a certain pet store chain has been selling “super pigs” for $80 each with the baseless claim that they “never get sick” 🙄😑🤬 this is NOT a real thing 😑 meet Teddii ❤️ a “super pig” that has birth defects including partial blindness in both eyes, a misaligned jaw, and is a mini pig (another genetic modification), and deep crested (a sign of inbreeding) so she has everything stacked against her to living past 3 years old 😑 this post is just a message of warning 🙄 please do your research before buying any animal from any type of pet store 👀 after you have done your research, go back and do it again 😮 the lies that are being told by many of the pet store chains are so absurd that we just can’t believe they get away with it, but we also can’t believe that people buy so easily into these lies 😞 if you want to know the truth, or you want certain questions answered, the best place to go is to a rescue that specializes in that type of animal 👍 rescues that are pet specific generally will give you the good, the bad, and the ugly about whatever animal you’re interested in getting 😝 rescues do not want animals to be re-surrendered so most will make sure that you know everything you need to know to have the best chance with your new pet 🤗❤️

This breaks my heart.

Folks, let's talk reality in Florida. We hear everyday about dog and cat rescues overflowing with intakes, and make no mistake, that's an understatement. But ferret rescues are struggling, too. BADLY. In the last month, personally I've worked on over 10 ferrets trying to find them a home, which is difficult when the very small handful of rescues are completely full, including me. I took in four dumped ferrets the first part of the month from our local animal control, which has overwhelmed me physically and financially, a lot due to Blue's ongoing care.

Florida has few ferret resources, it's the same folks taking in these kids almost every time, and this is what causes the overcrowding. Florida is very scarce in fosters and adoptable homes. PLEASE, consider adopting. If you can't adopt, foster helps a LOT! And if you can't do either, a donation goes a long way as well, whether it be a cash donation, food donation, vet help or even purchasing something from a rescue's Amazon wish list.

Even though this is about Florida, ferret rescues all across the country are struggling. We need your help so we can continue helping these littlest kids.
