A snoozy shih tzu for your viewing pleasure 💤 💕 **video is sped up 2.5X and pup is not medicated in any way, she just enjoys her brushing and relaxes enough to snooze. If there weren’t other sounds in the salon, im sure she would have slep the whole time!!** This is this sweet girls 3rd groom! (Second wirh me) Shih tzus have drop coats and Her parent wants to grow that coat out fully which means a ton of maintenance and brushing! (2.5 hrs start to finish today! But she enjoys it 💞) This girl needs weekly baths with a high quality shampoo to protect hair from damage and moisturize the skin, daily brushing, and frequent professional grooms to maintain matting, handle nail and sanitary clipping, and hair trimming! She also has a top knot we tie up to keep hair out of her eyes. We are growing it out from some at home trimming but it’s coming a long way! This year has been crazy! It was a little hectic transitioning from shop to mobile grooming and im so glad we made the switch. The dogs seem to love it better & even though the days are longer, it feels like I have more time to breath between appointments. & its even sweeter that I get to be on this journey with Sam by my side. Im sad for the pups we lost when we left shop but love and value the clients that stuck with us through the change. Ive also loved all the new clients we’ve made that value us! We have so many puppies we’re watching grow, some older kids that have passed on, and everything in between & we always care for them as our own. I love this career and I look forward to meeting many more pups in 2024 💕 We have a few opening for january if anyone would like to start their year off with clean pups! This is mamie 🥹 today was her second groom! She’s a six month old ‘pomapoo’ or PomeranianXpoodle. She is not on any medication, no sedatives, no calming treats. (I double checked with the owners & she is very awake for the drying process ) she just simply ✨sleeps ✨ I can relate 😌 Its not uncommon for puppies to fall asleep when holding their little head & trimming, but they’re usually more alert for their second appointment. This girl fell asleep with her face last time & knocked out with her legs today too. Shes adorable & she makes me sleepy 🥱 let’s see if she snoozes for her third haircut. 💟 Sophie received our FFF service! (Face, feet, and fanny) That includes an ear cleaning, bath, blueberry facial, blow out, brush, sani & paw pad trimming, and a scissor trim around her face, feet, and tail! She got add-ons for glands and nail grinding which is great to help get the nails as short as possible and it rounds the edges so they’re smooth with no sharp edges! With grinding the nails there is no risk in cutting the quick! ( the quick is the soft cuticle part within the nail that has blood vessels and nerves that can bleed and is painful if it’s cut!) Sophie did amazing in the van and was well behaved for everything!
