Summer is the perfect time for outdoor adventures with your furry friends, but keeping them safe and cool is important. Here are some essential tips for hiking or walking your pets in the summer heat:

1️⃣ Time It Right: Aim for early morning or late evening walks when temperatures are cooler and the sun isn’t as strong.
2️⃣ Stay Hydrated: Always carry plenty of water for you and your pet. Portable water bowls or bottles are great for keeping your pet hydrated on the go.
3️⃣ Paw Protection: Hot pavement can burn your pet’s paws. Check the ground with your hand—if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for them! Consider booties or stick to grassy areas.
4️⃣ Take Breaks: Find shaded spots to rest and cool down. Don’t push your pet too hard, especially if they’re not used to long hikes.
5️⃣ Overheating Signs: Watch for excessive panting, drooling, or signs of discomfort. If your pet seems overheated, get them to a cool area and offer water immediately.
