Here’s a fun update for one of our past kittens.
He went home as a girl kitten last November. My vet checks every single kitten for boy/girl parts when we go for their 8 week checkup. I always double & triple check before they go home to be extra sure. In January, his new family contacted me saying they had just noticed little nubs when he was sitting on them. Lo and behold after a visit to the vet, we have a boy! 💙😂 a happy surprise.

I just wanted to reach out with a fun update now that our kitty just turned one. After the little surprise we had of finding out she was actually a he, we changed his name to Lucifer, and call him Luci. We feel like the slightly girly name is very fitting and a nice ode to the time we thought he was a girl 😂 During his neuter, my vet said he was not well endowed 🍒😂, so I think this is why he passed for a lady as a kitten. But he is the absolute bestttttt boy ever and we love him so much. He is the perfect fit for our family; a constant wrestling partner for our 1.5y old kitten Jasper, so great with all of our other pets, and incredibly tolerant of our two year old who is still learning how to be gentle with animals lol. I think the little mixup was actually fate saying that we needed him ✨
He weighed in at just under 15 pounds on his first birthday, and the gals at the vet clinic I work at threw him a bday party 🎂🎊 He enjoyed the abundance of treats and loves, but wasn’t the biggest fan of his party hat 😅 Very happy we found you and thanks again for everything! 🙂 If we ever decide that our life isn’t crazy enough with three cats and we need another, I’ll definitely reach out ! I’ve attached some photos of him, he’s so handsome! ❤️
