As the owner of a raw pet food brand, I get questions about balance, allll day & every day! Let me say this, We as a society are still figuring out balance and have no one way solution to resolve this for every type of breed.
My suggestion is …. Stick to simple, minimally processed raw ingredients that you can afford and are Safe for your pet.
The less ingredients , the less opportunity for allergic reactions.
Keep it simple, feed the dog in front of you, and provide balance Over time!

Can’t the kitty have a taste ?
Although, we do have treats specifically for cats…… this one isn’t suggested to feed to cats due to the density.

We LOVE this bowl! Why?
The debate on whether to “feed veggies ,
or not to feed veggies” … is on the rise….
Yet we still believe greens are important, at max amount of 7%.
This bowl is mainly meat, bones, fish because dogs are carnivores. Yet their ancestors diet contained a small amount of roughage in the prey they consumed.
Therefore, if your going to feed roughage.. keep it around 7% of their bowl along with meat, bones, organs and fish oils.

Organ meat is an essential role in a balanced raw diet, regardless of the method used to formulate.
Raw organ meats are typically sold whole, pre ground alone, or ground inside a balanced meal. You can save money by ordering them whole and calculate the portions of your dogs requirements at home.
Dogs who are picky typically prefer ground organs as the texture can throw them off. ( slimy & chewy)
Either form, offered at 10%, serves the same beneficial purpose. Pet preference and cost per pound are both options to consider when purchasing.

What protein do you recommend I start with?
🐄 Limited ingredient BEEF 🐄
Here’s why :
✅Unless you were referred to raw diets by a breeder, most customers are making the switch due to problems with their dogs current food.
Itching, biting paws, hair loss, inflammation, to name a few are the main culprits.
🐓 Poultry proteins can cause further irritation with dogs already experiencing ⬆️ these⬆️ inflammatory symptoms.
✅Starting with a non poultry protein with limited ingredients, like beef, can reduce inflammation, and bring relief to allergy symptoms caused by preservatives, grains and fillers.
✅Once beef does well, you can move on to exploring other proteins,
1 week at a time.
Yes; A variety is best, but Not a requirement for those sensitive dogs !

As a nutritionist, when I come across customers that still feed kibble and want to incorporate FRESH food, raw meals are NOT my GO-TO recommended products. Why so?

Dr. Tom Lonsdale performed a study where he switched raw fed dogs, to a kibble diet. After 17 days dogs who had started out healthy had stinky breath, yellow teeth and sore bleeding gums.
