Sometimes the best things in life come very unexpected. Our 15 yr old daughter has been asking for a puppy for a very long time. A few years ago we found a home for one of our older frenchie pups we hadn't intended to keep as long as we did, our daughter had bonded to her and when Pugh the frenchie went to her new home she was heart broken, well unbeknownst to her, today her new best friend came home with us. We drove 300 miles to pick up a vehicle for our family. We casually talked about dogs and I mentioned I used to breed Olde English Bulldogges, the gentleman said he almost got one but him and his wife found Red Fox Labs and they fell in love. After we purchased our vehicle and drove back to town headed towards home my husband and I both said I think we need to call him back and see if he has a female pup, we turned around not knowingwhat she looked like or her personality, well let me introduce you to Olive our newest pack member. Not in a million yrs would I think I'd own another lab after my childhood black lab, but here we are with the sweetest smartest girl ever who filled a littles girls dream.

Just a little overview on Frenchie prices and just part of why they can be expensive. Good breeders also have many vet bills that come from before a breeding takes place to ensure the female is healthy and ready to be bred to the delivery of pups, yes some frenchies can do natural birth but for most breeders we don't take the chance of having to end up at the emergency vet in the middle of the night. To making sure. All pups are healthy, proper food for mom and eventually pups, dna testing, akc registration, worming meds, vaccines, whelping supplies, etc.

We personally take shifts and stay up around the clock for the first 2 weeks of the pups lives to ensure we have no aspirations, mom doesn't lay on pups, they are staying warm enough etc. There are professional whelpers you can hire to do this but ot also adds to the cost for some breeders as most have to have a regular job and can't stay up all night and bring newborn pups to work. Breding isn't cheap. Choosing the proper stud can cost generally anywhere from $1500-$4k+ depending on quality, titles etc. That doesn't include shipping fees, ai and progesterone testing. This still doesn't guarantee you'll have live pups, they can develop fading puppy syndrome, mom may not take, she may abort or you end up with only 1 or 2 pups.

This is just my take on breeding dogs for over 20 yrs. I'm still learning and not all breeders do ot the same.

Noritake photo dump. She is such an amazing girl. Loves to play with the saints and Lady. Kinda likes her little siblings not 100% sure of them yet. She is always where the kids are, whether they are playing in the water or riding the four-wheelers and sledding she's got to be involved. She will chase the four-wheeler til we make her go to the house then she just cries. She jumps in the sleds with the kids too.

Vet check day for the 7 week old saints and it wouldn't be fun with out the pups locking us out of the vehicle 🤦‍♀️ very happy my girls have ingenuity amd determined to figure things out themselves in less than 20 mins🤣. Everyone is healthy and ready for their new families next weekend.
