Berghia nudibranchs (Berghia stephanieae) are in many ways the best defense against nuissance Aiptasia in the aquarium. The nudibranchs feed soley on Aiptasia, as seen in this time-lapse over 3 hours. Because they only eat Aiptasia, they can rid an aquarium of these pests easily as long as they aren't predated upon. With just a few in the aquarium, they will mate and produce eggs which will eventually reproduce themselves and feast on the Aiptasia until they are managed or gone. #berghia #aiptasia #nudibranchs
