This three-year-old panther is a very special cat. Our entire volunteer team has fallen in love with this boy's curious and playful nature. He loves to be in the company of people, to play and to nuzzle. He's as happy climbing and exploring as he is settling into a patch of sunshine to watch the birds and critters outside.
Liberty was received as a stray and we know little of his past. He has twice found his family but was unable to adjust. He sees other animals and humans as fellow cats to be rumpused with and doesn't always understand what is and isn't acceptable behavior when playing. Liberty needs to be in a home without younger children or other animals. This wonderful companion cat requires a structured environment where he can be safe and loved within boundaries.
Liberty is a very special cat. He just needs a special family. Will that be you?
Liberty is available by consultant. To schedule an appointment contact: [email protected]
We are open Tuesday through Friday 3:30pm-6:30pm AND Saturday and Sunday 1-4pm. Thank you for considering adoption of a shelter animal in need!

Wilhelm Jeffrey Theodore
Introducing the brothers, Jeffrey, Wilhelm and Theodore—three 8-month-old kittens who were surrendered in September with their sister, Hannah, who has already found her forever home. Now, only these three remain, patiently waiting for the perfect person to give them the love and security they deserve.
Though they share a bond as siblings, each of these handsome boys is unique in both appearance and personality. Whether you’re drawn to a laid-back snuggler, a playful explorer or a shy-but-sweet soul, one of these boys might just be the purrfect match for you.
These kittens spent time in a loving foster home. While they may take a little time to settle into a new home, once they do, they’ll reward you with all the joy and comfort that comes with having a cat who truly loves you.
We invite you to come meet them in person—spend some time getting to know their individual quirks, their playful antics and their gentle spirits. Whether you're looking for a companion to curl up with on a cozy night or a little buddy to brighten your day, one of these brothers could be the perfect fit.
Come visit us at the shelter and see which of these sweet boys captures your heart. They’ve already lost so much time waiting for their forever family—let’s make sure they get the happily-ever-after they truly deserve.
The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing [email protected]. Ben & Jerry
#happycaturday from Ben & Jerry!
Are you ready to double the love and joy in your home? Meet Ben and Jerry, an incredibly bonded pair of 10 month-old male cats who are looking for their forever home! These two handsome furballs arrived at ARF from a local grassroots rescue organization and we can't wait to find them a loving family to call their own. These two are inseparable!
Why Adopt Both Ben and Jerry? Here are just a few advantages:
1. Built-In Companionship: Cats are social animals and having a buddy helps them feel secure. Ben and Jerry provide comfort and companionship for each other, reducing potential feelings of loneliness when you're away.
2. Playtime Galore: These affectionate boys love to snuggle, wrestle and explore together! Adopting both means endless entertainment and play, ensuring they stay active and healthy.
3. Less Stress: Transitioning to a new home can be overwhelming for a single cat. Having a buddy by their side helps new feline family members adjust more easily to their new environment.
4. Improved Social Skills: Bonded pairs often learn from one another, sharing behaviors and interactions that promote positive socialization. Ben and Jerry will not only enhance each other's lives but yours as well!
5. Double the Love: With two cats, you get double the affection! You'll receive twice the purrs, cuddles and playful antics-who wouldn't want double the love in their life?
The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing [email protected]. Fritz
What a good boy, Fritz! Check out how he drops his toy on request. Fritz hopes he's playing fetch in his very own yard soon.
Meet Fritz, the ultimate companion who embodies calm and loving energy. Fritz loves to put his head on your lap, providing the perfect comfort after a long day.
Fritz is a dream travel buddy, riding exceptionally well in the car as he lays down and chills in the backseat the entire time. He's great with other dogs and kids, making him a wonderful addition to any family, but no cats for Fritz please. However, a meet and greet with other dogs is required before adoption to ensure a perfect match.
Leash walking is a breeze with Fritz, as he strolls by your side with ease. He knows his basic commands-sit, paw, and down-and is highly treat-motivated, which makes training sessions a delight. One of his favorite pastimes is playing fetch, where his playful side truly shines.
If you're looking for a loving, calm, and well-behaved companion, 2 year-old Fritz might just be the perfect fit for your family. Come meet him and see if he's the furry friend you've been searching for!

Kiva
**Kiva has been adopted **
Our beautiful and affectionate Kiva is still waiting on her furever home. (turn up volume for music)
Meet Kiva! She's a four year-old beauty with a heart as sweet as honey. She is a curious girl who enjoys climbing and perching on the cat tree. Kiva has a particular fondness for bird watching. She can spend hours gazing out of the window, fascinated by the fluttering wings and melodious chirps. But don't be fooled, Kiva is not just about her hobbies. She is also deeply affectionate, always ready to curl up in your lap for a cozy cuddle. Adopt Kiva and add a touch of sweetness and curiosity to your life. Kiva is not so fond of other cats or dogs and is seeking a single pet home.
Angels for Ludwig aka Pogo
Can you help save our gentle giant? Thank you to all who have donated! We're at $3,600 of our $5,000 goal.
Ludwig van Beethoven (affectionately called Pogo) is just shy of two years old; a big, lovable dog with a heart full of joy. But despite his playful spirit, his young life has already been marked by heartache and hardship.
Pogo was brought back to ARF a few weeks ago, and just days ago we discovered a large lump on his front leg. After testing, our worst fears were confirmed - it was osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer that threatened his ability to run, play, and live a full life.
Fortunately, our healthcare team acted quickly to have the leg amputated and schedule six rounds of chemo. So far, his prognosis for recovery looks good.
But with the surgery, chemo, x-rays and follow-up exams, it will cost over $5000 to give him his chance at a healthy, happy life!
Your donation to our Angels for Animals Fund will help cover the costs of Pogo's life-saving treatments.
Since having his leg amputated he hasn't missed a beat. He loves walks, cuddles, and playing. Once he gets a clean bill of health, we are hopeful he will live a long, happy life. He is currently in foster with some dog pals to help him through his chemo treatments and recovery.
Pogo may be a large dog, but his heart is even bigger. His fight is far from over, and with your help we believe he can make it through. Every dollar you donate will bring him closer to the life he deserves - one filled with the freedom to run, explore, and experience love.
Your donation will help provide this brave, sweet boy with the life-saving treatments he needs. Thank you for joining his fight!

Ivy
Is your dog-friendly dog looking for a canine companion? Ivy is patiently waiting in foster for her new family to take her to her furever home. Could that be you?
**To meet Ivy, text Rachael at 440-773-0270.**
Meet Ivy, the sweetest little shy girl who is ready to find her forever home! Though she can be timid at first, once Ivy opens up, her playful and energetic side shines. She absolutely adores cuddles and will happily snuggle up once she feels safe.
Ivy thrives in a calm environment when meeting new people. She prefers to approach at her own pace, but once she feels comfortable, she'll gladly accept pets and love. Ivy's social skills with other dogs are fantastic-she loves meeting new canine friends and has gotten along wonderfully with every dog she's met.
This toy-loving girl has a special fondness for tags, whether on toys or blankets, so it's best to keep those out of reach! Be mindful of electrical cords and ropes as well, as she can be quite the little chewer.
Ivy is nearly 95% potty trained and catching on quickly. She responds to affectionate terms like "girl" and "babe," and is learning basic commands like "come here," "sit," and "up." She's also working on leash training, though it's not her favorite activity just yet.
Though Ivy can get anxious when left alone, she settles down after about 10 minutes. She's making great strides in becoming more independent, venturing out into the yard on her own and even getting comfortable relaxing on the floor away from her human.
Ivy must go to a home with another dog, as she truly blossoms around other pups. Additionally, her new home should have a secure physical fence to help her feel safe. Whoever brings Ivy into their family will be incredibly lucky to have such a sweet, loving companion.

Wiccan and Tarot
Happy Friday from siblings Wicca and Tarot!
Wicca: Lap cat alert! Back in September, Wicca and her four siblings were surrendered to ARF for adoption. She spent time in one of our loving foster homes until she was given the go ahead to be placed up for adoption. Her foster momma describes her as sweet, playful and full of cuddles. Wicca enjoys climbing on your lap for a belly rub and a nap after playtime. She also has quite a motor on her and you will hear almost constant purring while she is getting the loving attention of her caregiver. In the shelter, Wicca is rooming with her brother, Tarot, and while they are not required to be adopted together we do want it noted that they have been raised together for several months. We invite you to come by the shelter to meet this sweet house panther and see if there is a magical connection between you! While here, you can also visit with brother Tarot to see if perhaps he (also) is a fit for you and your family.
Tarot: Purring machine alert! Tarot and four siblings were surrendered to ARF for adoption back in September. Time was spent in one of our loving foster homes until he was ready for adoption. According to his foster momma, he is sweet, playful and full of cuddles. She nicknamed him "Taco." Tarot is easily entertained by chasing balls, chasing around other kittens and pouncing on feather wand toys. Tarot is also such a good boy who uses his scratch pad. He can be quite the bug hunter for any pesky fellows that manage to get indoors. Tarot and his sister, Wicca, are roommates here at the shelter. And while they are not required to be adopted together, they have been raised together for several months. Tarot and Wicca are the last of their sibling group still at the shelter awaiting for someone to step forward and choose them. Come by ARF and spend time with Tarot, and perhaps Wicca too, to see if Tarot's...and perhaps Wicca's future is with you!
