For some pups, we have to get a little creative for safety and stress management. ✨️

Georgie is a shy Brussels Griffon who had a poor experience with nail trimming in the past due to her tricky black nails, so she was rightfully fearful of her first pawdicure with us.

We actually only completed the back nails on her first visit and decided it was best to not push her too much due to her stress level and scheduled another visit to try the front nails another time.

At the second visit, we tried the towel approach with Mom holding her and she was much more cooperative this time! She was beginning to trust me since she had a positive experience the first time and we didn't push her past her limit.

And we of course rewarded her bravery with positive reinforcement each time!🍪

Because we've done thousands of nail trims on just about every breed of dog you can think of, we know how to get nails as short as possible without causing unnecessary pain or stress.

We also are trained to stay keenly aware of your pet's stress level at all times and we promise to do what is best for them as a first priority, even if it means not completing the service sometimes.

This is why having a skilled professional handle your pup's nails can help them heal from previous traumas and become less fearful of nail trims over time by stacking on positive experiences, and that's our goal. 😀

How it started vs how it's going! 🐾

1st Pic is how Odie's nails looked before his first pawdicure, back in June.

2nd Pic is the same day, right after his pawdicure.

3rd Pic is after his 3rd Pawdicure... we've been doing once a month visits, and we are making some amazing progress on getting those quicks to receed! 👏

Notice how much straighter he is beginning to stand in the 3rd pic, after just 3 pawdicures, also at 14 years old!

Moxie, you are THE cutest and fiestiest girl. 😅💗

Being a pug, she has nails that curl and grow into the paw pad when they get too long, so we see her every few weeks to keep her nails filed down to work on shortening the quicks.

She doesn't love having her nails done, but she sure does love giving kisses and getting treats at the end!

It's always great seeing you, sweet girl.💕

Amos, who knew you had the cutest little kitten feet after a quick & easy pawdicure?! He was the chillest lab EVER, btw! 🖤

Luckily his quicks hadn't grown out much, which allowed me to take his nails short enough so they don't touch the ground when standing! 👏

More commonly though, the quick (blood vein) grows out when nails aren't trimmed as often.

It then takes several more frequent nail trims exposing the quick to get them to receed back to ideal length.

The process is totally doable, but if you want to avoid it, just schedule your monthly pawdicures in advance so you never forget!

Life gets busy, and our goal is to make nail care stress-free for you and your pet. 🩵🐾

Here's a little before and after action from 14 yr old Odie the Chihuahua, known to not be a fan of nail trims!

He did SO great today and loved the extra cookies at the end and was even barking for more😋

See you in 3 weeks little buddy, we will get those quicks shorter each time, but I'm so glad they are looking (and feeling) much better! 😊🐾
