Bourn Feed and Supply began as a small feed store in downtown Columbia in 1964. The downtown store specialized in feeds and fertilizers. Bob Bourn originally owned the store and moved it to it’s current location. In the sixties the current location was considered “state-of-the-art.”
Bourn Feed and supply as we know it came to life in the mid-eighties when my Dad, Joel Haley took over. Dad worked
under Bob for several years before taking over. We expanded the store to the current store front. We also added the extra horse and pet supplies. Dad was well known for his knowledge, kind spirit, and denim overalls. I officially took over in 2012. But I was no stranger to Bourn Feed and Supply. When I was a kid you would always find me stretched out on the stacks of dog food in the show room doing my homework. I always kept a keen eye on Dad. I worked with my Dad for 20 years before I needed to take control of the store. Today, my husband, Mike Quast and I manage the store. We have a large selection of pet and livestock feeds as well as supplies, lawn and garden supplies, fertilizers, tack and hay and unique gifts. Mike and I worked together at Bourn Feed and Supply for 14 years before getting married. Mike and I try our hardest to continue the legacy my Dad left behind. Everything we do at the store is about helping the next generation. My Dad loved helping the youth of the area. In due time his grandkids, Sierra and Wesley are sure to be the next generation of Bourn Feed and Supply. We hope you’ll stop in and meet our Bourn Feed & Supply family!
