This sweet ol' girl had extremely dry and ye**ty skin and hair loss due to an autoimmune disease; after a rehydrating bath and a trim up she left feeling so much better. Never underestimate the power of a good bath.

While shaving double coated breeds is not recommended give the pup a proper bath makes a huge difference in the out come of the groom. As seen through the before and after pictures the difference in the coat after being shaved and after touching up after a bath is hugely different and a better quality.

The importance of nail trimming. The way the dog is able to hold its paw is drastically different, the long nails makes him walk on his tip toes but once trimmed he's able to properly walk on his paw pads.

"Teddy bear" or "Puppy cut" really means one length all over. This matted pup was shaved with a #7 blade.

! This is an out line trim. This is the best groom you can do for dogs with his coat type, this trim allows us to neater his coat with out shaving and damaging it. This pup looks happy and freshly groomed with out damaging his coat and with minimal time and effort needed to do or keep up. 😀

Should you brush your dog's teeth? That depends on the condition of the teeth. In the first image you can see the large amounts of tartar on the teeth which cns only be removed by a vetenary cleaning, this also exposes damaged teeth that are loose and needs to be removed surgically. In the next two images you can see the light tartar and staining but other wise healthy teeth. These are safe for us to brush and if maintained at home and in the salon can help prevent sever tartar build up and broken and loose teeth. Always talk with your veterinarian with any and all health concerns. 😊

This is what a year's worth of unmanaged hair looks like. Some of the matts were solid and very difficult to remove. Daily combing is 100% necessary for our long haired pups. This sweet man is feeling great now and loving his new home.

Coco is a sweet toy poodle, with a soft fluffy coat, however due to previous matting you can see the damage to the coat
You'll notice the patchy places on the hind legs, with some time and extra care maybe we can get the hair to grow back properly.

Miss Roxy modeled for us so we can give you a glimpse of your pups spa day. 1st your pupper is prepped for a bath ( nail trimming, ear plucking/cleaning, sanitary shave, pawpad shaving), next is the bath ( premium shampoo and conditioner and face wash), then drying (towel dry and blow out if your pet will tolerate it, nervous pups can be placed in a Kennel dryer for stress free drying), followed by the groom (brush out and groom of your choice, followed by bows or a bandana)

Besides trimming, dremeling/ Filing is a great way to maintain your dog's nails. It get the nails shorter and smoother than trimming alone and there's less of a chance of injuring the quick of the nail. Dremeling is a great option for families with small children or elderly members and to protect your furniture. Ask your groomer about it at your next visit.

When it comes to pet care make sure to choose the right tool for the job. A wide toothed comb or greyhound comb is the perfect tool to keep your pups coat happy and healthy and tangle/matt free. It's completely safe to use face-tail. 🐶🐕

It's shedding season! Ask your groomer about their deshedding options. Our favorite is Furminator, it smells wonderful and is gentle on your pups skin while it works hard to remove the shedding undercoat. When used correctly and on schedule it can decrease shedding upto 90%!

These are the two types of lion cuts. 1st is with a daisy head( the mane stops around the collar area) and true lion tail. 2nd is a true lion mane ( mane stops at the shoulders and follows the chest) with a full tail.
