Another successful rehabilitation. Tessa met her forever family today. We are grateful to be a part of these dogs journey and helping them find a new peace in life and their forever homes.
Never underestimate what fostering and getting a rescue puppy means to all the people behind the scenes that love these dogs and work endlessly at giving them a better life and the rehabilitation they need. Just because they may have special needs doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve to have the best life also! The reason why these dogs end up this way is not their fault.

We had a great day golfing supporting a great organization. We didn’t get the win but none of that matters when supporting a cause like this. Dogs have completely changed my life and I know the love they bring into your life. If you’re looking for a new fur baby, reach out to A Freedom Journey and invest in the training to set these pups up for success. A Freedom Journey’s motto is “LOVE MATTERS” and that’s especially true when it comes to this organization. Everything they do is outta love for animals who need it the most!!!!

Do you want a dog that you can take anywhere? Let us help you. Meet Skyler, she is one of our board & trains and is doing amazing. She is gonna eventually be a service dog and it all starts with manners. The way we view our fur babies is a little different. We don’t train for “obedience” because if a dog is “obedient” you’ll constantly have to micro manage their life. We teach dogs how to make appropriate choices, that way when we’re not telling them what to do, they make the right choice.

The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business.
Running a business is really hard.
What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid-back people.
People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.
Friends and family will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.
You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.
Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work life balance. You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All whilst being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend...
There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5-10 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.
Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient, support small businesses…….and hopefully more of us will stick around!
