Wanted to reintroduce myself to any new followers! I am Jack Murray and this is my pup Heidi! I grew up outside of Pittsburgh PA, but moved west and attend Kansas State University for a couple years of undergrad! I currently live in Columbia Missouri and attend veterinary school at the University of Missouri. Murray Kennel Company began during my first year of vet school while I was living in a small apartment with a couple of roommates.
I wanted a better alternative to the traditional dog crate and couldn’t find anything on the market that suited my needs. I needed one that does not take up much space when not in use, one that is super lightweight and can travel easily, and one that effortlessly folds in seconds!
After 3 years of research and prototype development Murray Kennel Company’s crate is almost here!

Heidi was lucky enough to escape the cold and enjoy some warm weather this January! I have been super fortunate to be able to bring her along everywhere I go! I was completing two 2-week long externships in southern Florida and it was a dream! We enjoyed every single day in the sunshine state!

On March 22nd, Heidi and I compete at the University of Missouri's Entrepreneur Quest competition, with a prize pool of $30,000. We are almost done completing an 8-week instructional workshop which taught us all the things on how to launch your startup business. We are ready to pitch!

Last spring was a very exciting time for Murray Kennel Company. The Entrepreneur Competition gave us the vital capital we needed to start up our business and are very grateful to the University of Missouri’s Entrepreneur Quest!

We are currently pre-ordering our Home and Travel Collapsible Dog Crate-Medium. . . For the pre-orders we are accepting 50% of the total payment of the crate upfront, then the remaining 50% payment will be due when we ship you your crate! So it is $150 now, then $150 when we ship! . . Our goal is approximately 6 months to be able to manufacture the molds, then begin our first production run! . .
