We are happy to announce that this little boy is off his stray hold and looking for a foster to adopt household as he gets updated on vaccines and fixed. He has been an absolute Joy to have around and we know he will make the perfect pet for a family looking to spend summer the right way.

“Shoeshine” (little man)

Weights about 25lbs

Dog friendly (meet and greet with pets required for multi pet household)

Cat friendly but is a hound who likes to boss the cats around

Loves people and kids of all sizes and would do great in a family home.

Potty trained ( also seems to be potty pad trained)

He’s working hard on kennel training but would rather be left out in the house, he promises no issues as long as the trash can is put up.

If you are the type of person who wanted to get an adult dog from a rescue to skip the puppy stage but still have a super snuggly best friend then look no further than Little Man

Adoption fee is 250.00 this includes him getting his vaccines, fixed, a free training session and support for the life of the dog. (If you would like to do the vet care with your vet the adoption fee is 75.00 with proof of scheduled appointment to get him in for an appointment and fixed at your vet.)

He is available to foster to adopt where you can see how he fits into your household before fully committing to him since we know not every dog fits in every household.

Meet ShoeShine the amazing

He is on day 4 of his 14 day stray hold with no luck so far finding his owner. However he has been amazing little buddy to have around the house.

After his stray hold is up we will be vaccinating, fixing and microchip this little baby aswell as making sure he is worm free and then he will be looking for a forever home.

He will be available for a foster to adopt situations after his stray hold is up so he will start looking for potential homes as soon as he can.

Little to know about shoeShine our little underdog

Shoe shine appears to be completely potty trained. In the last four days he has not had a single accident in our home, not in his kennel or while being out and about in the house. Due to this we believe he is potty trained. He is friendly with kids, men and women and loves them all. He spends all his time following us around. This little man love to snuggle in bed. He will literally just pass out in just about any position on the bed. He isn’t super food motivated and seems to like wet food more, must have been a little spoiled. We believe shoe shine is cat friendly as well as he has been out and about with our in-house cats and hasn’t had any issues. As well as he is dog friendly (tested with our female dog) though she had to inform him not to get to excited on her but he took the correction well with no issues. He will need to do a meet and greet with any other dogs he will be in the house with. He does fine in the kennel when left home alone but if you are home gets a little whinny if he can hear you but can’t get to you. We are working on that since he does have a little hound howl. There is so much more to him and if you would like to set up meeting him after his stray hold is up we would love to set up a meet and greet.

He is about 1-3 years old and it super calm for a little hound dog. We believe he would be good in a home with an older couple who’s grand kids visit or a young couple who has kids of their own or who want him to be their little kid. He’s about 20-25 lbs and would be considered a small dog in our opinion. We have not had an issues outside of him wanting to leave the kennel and snuggle in bed in the mornings where he will typically sleep in with you.

Got a few lost dogs with us today (we have posted them and will be alerting the shelter when it opens flit try and find the owners) but for now the little hounds have been dubbed Chief and Copper

Little Eliot, our semi feral collie mix is a complete joy to our house hold. He might not like leashes or being pet, but he has the biggest personality. He is best friends with every dog we bring home and I swear he learns something new from each of them. We love you Ells Bells and we know your trust is slow to earn, thank you for trusting us and we are so excited to keep working towards your rehabilitation journey. We still have this beautiful baby ready for adoption or foster to adopt. Pup is a Great Dane who due to no fault of his own needed to be rehomed (zoning issues for his last family) pup is dog, and cat friendly aswell as he’s good with kids. Pup takes a minute to warm up to new people but has worked very hard at getting better at it. Pup is potty trained and we believe with the right family he will finally get to settle his big tail in forever. We are located in Columbia South Carolina

This ”little” Pup Cup is 10 months old and looking for a forever spot to park his large tail to start 2023 off right. If you would like to meet or hear more about Pup please feel free to private message us.

Pup is a Registered Great Dane who needed some training and to be rehomed after a change in his last living situation. Pup is Dog friendly, cat friendly, and good with kids. He can be a big scaredy-cat but he is working very hard to build his confidence. He is looking for the right home to continue growing into his big paws and to find people he can say he will love forever. Please note Great Danes eat 8-12 cups of food a day, and he will have to wait to get fixed until he is two years old to support his joints and bones. He will have a neuter contract for when he turns 2 years old and is done growing. This dog will not be allowed to stud or father any litters he is looking for a PET home only.

Happy Holiday season to all our past and future adopters/Pups. We Will be setting up a table and celebrating this coming holiday season on December 10th 12-3pm at Pet Sense on Garners Ferry Road. We are planning on having a small raffle basket and bringing out available dog(s). We would love to see any old or new faces. Come talk to us about adoption or training and meet the current pups in training.
