We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Mary Thomas to the Trailside Family!

Dr. Mary is from Mississippi, where she attended Ole Miss for her undergraduate education and then graduated from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. Dr. Mary is not the only veterinarian in the family. Her husband, Dr Michael Thomas is following his passion at the University of Missouri Animal Health Center.

Please help us send some love to Dr. Nathan Zerwig, all the way to Pennsylvania. Trailside Animal Hospital is already missing Dr. Nathan. We have been absolutely blessed to be a small part of Dr. Nathan’s journey in veterinary medicine these past two years. Dr. Nathan, Paige (the real doctor) and Ruth, remember you always have a home at Trailside Animal Hospital!

Trailside Animal Hospital would like to announce our newest Veterinarian -To-Be!! A Huge Congratulations to Haylie Bernskoetter on her Acceptance to the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine! We had absolutely no doubts that this would be her future as she has been with us from the very first day of Trailside. It has been a great pleasure to watch her grow and thrive in this sometimes difficult but most days amazing world of Vet Med. You got this Haylie Bernskoetter!!

Today is the first of the month! It’s time for Fee-B, Maggie, and Bob-B to get their monthly year round Heartworm and Flea & Tick Prevention! No better reminder than a Lyme Disease positive test that we had at Trailside Animal Hospital today. P.S. Max the Cat will get his prevention too!

Trailside Animal Hospital is excited to announce that we are expanding! Andy Bonderer assisted with our initial project and we are pleased to partner with Andy and his team at CES with our renovation.

The renovation will include additional reception space, exam rooms, treatment areas and other workspace.

We are truly blessed by the amount of support we receive from the community. Thank you to all that take such wonderful care of their furry, feathered and scaled family members.
