Meet Sydney AKA Sunshine- Sunshine was an outside neighborhood cat that one of our clients brought in for an exam. Sunshine presented with entropion in both eyes and was FIV positive.(Entropion refers to a rolling inward of the eyelids. This causes the hairs on the eyelid and eyelashes to rub on the surface of the eye itself. This can cause cats significant pain and can lead to ulceration and blindness if not corrected). With him being FIV positive we couldn't allow for him to go back outside. We took Sunshine into the SWAC family and Dr. Bradley was able to open his eyes to the bright world. We knew finding him a home would be a challenge not just because of his age but also because of his FIV positive status.....But I am happy to announce that this week he has found his furever home.

Our Pets Helping Pets fund helps us help pets like Sunshine and many others. This year we have seen an increased number of kittens that were brought in by good Samaritans. We never turn them away and do our best to always give them a fighting chance. Our Pets Helping Pets fund doesn't only go to strays, but also allows us to help our patients/clients that need a little extra help when their beloved pets need us the most.

We want to thank our clients and staff that continue to donate to our Pets Helping Pets Fund, its because of you we get to give animals like Sunshine a second chance.

Hello SWAC friends! We are searching for crib mattress donations for our older pets that are medical boarding with us. These work perfectly for those with arthritis or those recovering from an orthopedic surgery. Our 4 legged friends would greatly appreciate having the extra comfort during their stay.

Happy National Creamsicle Day to our very own! Cream is our resident cat who can usually be found sitting in sinks, sticking his paws under occupied exam room doors or running away from any humans who are not wearing navy blue scrubs. We wouldn’t want him any other way! 😍🧡

We are happy to welcome Dr. Bradley to the SWAC family! During the next few months Dr. Bradley will be training under Dr. Sine and will begin taking appointments in October. We are so excited to have her join us.

Born and raised in Lincoln, Illinois, Dr. Tara Bradley has always been passionate about animals of all kinds and has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was a little girl. For her undergraduate degree, she attended Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, where she received her bachelor of science in biology with a minor in chemistry in 2019. While at Culver-Stockton, she was also a member of the women’s golf team. She then went on to the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree as a magna cm laude graduate in 2023. She enjoys all aspects of small animal practice but she especially enjoys surgery. Dr. Bradley made the move from Columbia, MO to Columbia, SC with her mini Aussie named Red that she rescued in her first year of veterinary school. In her free time, you can find her on the golf course, at the beach, hiking, or doing any other outdoor activity. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and current on heartworm and flea prevention. She has been living at our clinic for far too long and deserves a home.
