Do you feel guilty indulging in treats in front of your dogs? Come on, you can admit it here. Its a safe space. Just be sure that your special treats are safe and healthy for your dogs. Apples, blueberries,watermelons, bananas, pineapple, peanut butter, yogurt, pumpkin, green beans, peas, unsweetened apple sauce, carrots, cucumbers, ....

PAALS trainers and volunteers take dogs in training out to businesses, parks, restaurants, stores, etc as part of their exposures and training in preparation for being placed with a client. Short trips begin soon after they start their training journey, working up to the types of multiple trips a dog might be expected to do in one day with a client. PAALS dogs must be well prepared and confident for all types of experiences.

St. Andrews Women's Club volunteers with us every year to help us with ongoing facility projects. They arrived with two garbage bags full of recycled cardboard tubes from toilet paper and paper towels for our pups. This year, they did a deep clean of floors, woodwork, etc. that made everything smell SO much better! They cleaned windows inside and out and cleaned our ceiling fans so they sparkled. They found time to greet and play with two dogs they named, Floyd and Sandy. Sandy is the little yellow puppy in the pictures. The ongoing support of groups like theirs help us fulfill our mission to individuals with disabilities and to our community.

A huge thank you to Law Office of Kenneth E. Berger, LLC ! Their help, like the donations of individuals and groups who give to PAALS, helps us to help individuals with disabilities. PAALS receives no state or federal funds for our assistance or facility dogs or any of our programs. If you or your business would like to support PAALS, contact us today. There are so many ways to help- sponsoring an event, naming a dog, fostering or pupsitting a dog, volunteering your expertise, or volunteering individually or as a group for a project or just to help us with our daily chores. We have a very small staff, so there are many opportunities to lighten the load. We appreciate your help in whatever way you want to make a difference!
