Our Pet of the Week is an adorable mini dachshund, Kevin! Kevin, or sometimes called "Big Kev", is 13 weeks old and belongs to the Vanderloo family. Kevin was named after his mom's favorite baseball player! Kevin is never bored or without a playmate, he proudly boasts of having 6 dog cousins he can frequently romp around with! One of his favorite pastimes is to ride in the car to see friends- usually traveling to have a fun playdate with his cousins. He is an absolute sweetheart and always gives the staff plenty of kisses when he comes in for his appointments! We can't wait to see him again soon!

Meet Ludo our Pet of the Week! Ludo is a 12-year-old mixed breed belonging to Megan Gregson and her family. He was adopted through Belleville Area Humane Society after the loss of the family's dog, Daisy. There was a huge hole in their hearts that were ready to be filled with another four-legged family member. Ludo was named by the shelter after the character "Ludo" from the 80's movie, Labyrinth and the name just stuck. Ludo would say his greatest motivation in his life is in fact, food. Any kind in fact. It doesn't matter if it's food on the counter, food on the table, food in the garbage, the cat's food, well... do you see where this is going? He is basically the dog version of Ace Ventura Pet Detective, but for food. If there is food out around the house or outside of any kind, he will find it. In fact, his fur mom fondly recollects Easter of last year, when Ludo helped himself to hidden chocolate candies intended to be set out for Easter morning.

Ludo had to be syringed hydrogen peroxide in the front yard to induce vomiting. His owners would like to think that he was innocently trying to partake in a little Easter spirit that day. If one had to ask what Ludo's greatest talent would be, it would most likely be winning the award for the street's most annoying dog. Ludo takes his job patrolling the backyard very seriously and will not hesitate to bark at any sudden movement, such as the wind.
Alas, he is still very loved by his mom, despite all his mischievous, and sometimes annoying, antics. We enjoy seeing Ludo's sweet but mischievous face and hope to see him again soon!
