They do such a great job of continuing to preserve and improve this facility and we are very lucky to have it as our home for the SCHJA Palmetto Medal and Derby Finals each year!

Congratulations to our 2025 SCHJA Scholarship recipients!

Zalee Caulder of Florence, SC is the winner of the $1500 SCHJA Junior Scholarship and Penny Bradley of Graham, NC is the winner of the $1000 SCHJA Mini Scholarship.

We look forward to seeing where this opportunity takes both of these ambitious ladies in the 2025 season and we are so proud of their representation of our association and the SCHJA juniors!

Thank you to all the riders who applied and we hope that any applicants who did not receive the scholarship this year will try again next season!

Hey SCHJA junior riders! It's time to apply for the 2025 SCHJA mini scholarship. This scholarship offers $1,000.00 to a rider who demonstrates talent and success in the show ring, proper horsemanship abilities and a high moral character. This rider must be showing at 2'6" or under for use at SCHJA "C" rated shows this season.

Applications are due by January 1, 2025! Please email the application and a letter of reference to [email protected]

Thank you to all that continue to make SCHJA so wonderful year to year. We are so appreciative to our board members that go above and beyond to make everything run like clock work, but most importantly our SCHJA members for the continuous support every season. WOW, what a weekend at the 2024 SCHJA Palmetto Medal & Derby Finals! Too many people to thank for making this happen but a big thank you to the SCHJA Board for all of their work, The South Carolina Equine Park, Your Camden Showgrounds and our show manager Bill Yeager and his staff!

The $5,000 SCHJA Derby Finals, sponsored by The Tack Room, was won by "SLS Bueller," owned by Sarah Flannery and ridden by Jessica West, trained by Nancy West.

The Palmetto Junior Medal Final was won by Ella Hudson on her own "Definitely," trained by Sally Martin.

The Jimmy Wofford Adult Medal Final was won by Carly Ziegler on her own "Diamond City," trained by Nancy West.

The Maryann Parmalee Pony Medal Final was won by Josie Jackson on "Hidden Spring's Armani," trained by Cali Bowman.

Best Child Rider on a Horse went to Lauren Trembath, trained by Nick Stewart and Emma-Fogler Stewart.

Best Child Rider on a Pony went to Allie Robards, trained by Nick Stewart and Emma Fogler-Stewart.

Best Amateur went to Tamara Flinn, trained by Mary Wooten.

The Best Turned Out Award given in honor of Cora Lee Burton and donated by Jordan Burton to the best turned out derby horse was given to Lauren Trembath's "Cleopatra" ridden by Nick Stewart.

And the inaugural $500.00 The Farm at One Under Jumper Classic win went to Across Town Farm's "For Sure," ridden by Lily Schmitt.
