Don’t forget about mandatory CWD testing November 16th and 17th. If you are planning to mount your deer the check stations will write a pass and no harm will come to the cape.

It’s that time of year again - Bow season!

Check out this deer harvested in November of 2023 with a crossbow. This deer was mounted with a blind eye to show how unique he truly was while on the hoof.

The blind eye deer is just one example out of many deer that have a unique story or feature associated with them. Do you have a deer with horns touching? Are they missing half their rack? Do they have drop tines?

Turkey Season is Here!

If you’ve ever been to the shop at Bur Oak you know that we place antlers of shoulder mounts on our rafters. Not only does this help keep the shop clean, but it serves as motivation.
When Bur Oak started in 2021 our rafters were not full. We were a new business trying to get our name out to individuals who believed in the art of taxidermy. Each year, more of the rafters become full showing us a visual of just how much Bur Oak has grown in a short period of time. We are so thankful for everyone who has contributed to the growth of Bur Oak Taxidermy and we look forward to adding even more antlers to our rafters.
