Our Pet of the Month for January is Buddy! This Handsome boy has definitely earned his spot on our board this month too! :) Here is the story of how his family got Buddy!

“One cold February morning, I was taking my 2 dogs outside and I looked over to our driveway and seen something laying down. When I got closer there was a dog laying there in the cold. I got him up and brought him in to warm him up and gave him some food. We put pictures on Facebook and called around to shelters but nobody claimed him. My sweet elderly neighbor Bill said he would take Buddy. Bill would spoil Buddy with tummy rub, snacks, and a lot of love! One of Bill and Buddy's favorite things was to go outside and sit on the porch and enjoy the weather.
My husband made a promise to Bill that if something ever happened to him that we would take Buddy in. Bill suddenly passed away and Buddy came to live with us, which was one of the best things. Buddy is such a very loving dog! He loves to snuggle, go outside to sun bathe, like walks and play with his 3 brothers. He also like to steal your blankets at night. Buddy, we are so blessed to have you in our family, we love ya!” -Mom

🐈 Found! 🥹 This cutie was found right before the snow hit in Cahokia! He is a youngster right around 6 months old. He is very friendly and looks to have had a loving home at some point. No chip but does look like he did have a collar on in the past. If you have any information please let us know!

Our office will be closed from December 24th until Jan. 2nd. We will reopen on Friday, Jan 3rd for normal business hours. Please be sure to pick up medications and food by Monday, Dec. 23rd.

Just look at this sweet face! Addie is our Pet of the Month for December! You can't help but to melt when you see those eyes. Here is what her momma had to say about her.

"We adopted Addie through MAK (Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas) pointer rescue. She is a German Shorthaired Pointer. She was 1 years old when we got her. She is so sweet and loves people. She is 12 now but up until 2 years ago the "BALL" was her life. She carried it around all day and wanted you to throw it for her. She has since slowed down but still takes daily walks. Addie is the "mother" of our dogs and teaches them what to do. We call her the "fun police" because when they start acting up she "Yells" at them. Addie has never wanted to hunt....so she's just hangs around us and tells us what to do."

Everyone say hello to our Pet of the Month for November, Nugget! 😍

"Nugget was our Son, Greg's, puppy. He rescued her several years ago. We lost Greg in May of 2022, so naturally we welcomed her into our home. We already had a rescued chihuahua (Vino), and now they are sisters and best friends. Thank you again for helping us take care of the both of them. " - Tom & Betsy

Meet our Pet of the Month for October! 🎃Sweet Maggie!!!

"Maggie is such a sweet girl! She was found wandering around a subdivision and was never claimed before she was adopted into her forever home 7 years ago. She has a bubbly, goofy personality, but is also laid back. Maggie brings so much joy to her parents and everyone she meets. Life with her has been such a blessing! She loves being tucked in for a nap, cuddling her brothers (two cats, Bear and Bandit), and soaking up the sun. Toys don't normally catch her attention, but she is always ready for a game of chase. We love our Maggie girl so much!!!"

Check out our Pet of the Month for September! This cutie pie is Oscar. Here is the adorable bio his parents sent over about him. 😀

"Oscar is our super sweet, extra silly 4 year old Mini Australian Shepherd. He loves to run & jump up to catch his tennis balls when they are in the air, and he is quite good at it. He doesn’t like to bring them back, tho.
Before he came to us he lived with 3 wild Boston Terriers, who were much faster & more aggressive than him, so he didn’t get a chance to play with and enjoy his toys. As a result he is rather stingy with his toys, as well as our cats toys when he can get a hold of them. He loves his cat brother & sister and is very respectful of their space & moods. They enjoy his company as well.
He loves to be cuddled, but only if he is being pet. Once you stop he is done. Sometimes he’ll paw at us to pet him some more, but mostly he just gets up & moves to a different area of the couch or bed.
He loves his toys, but he also loves to shred up paper. Sometimes we have to give him a napkin or some scrap of paper in our hands because he looks so longingly at it. He makes a mess, we clean it up, and he’s happy.
His favorite thing seems to be chasing squirrels, geese, and rabbits, but the rabbits don’t happen too often. They’ve learned to stay out of our yard for the most part. He likes to catch cicadas and hold them in his mouth for a bit, but then sets them free, usually unharmed.
He is such a sweet & loving boy, and we truly feel he was meant for us, and us for him."

Good morning!

We just wanted to put a reminder out that after today our office will be closed until Tuesday, September 3rd! We are closing for building maintenance and for Labor Day weekend! We are here today until 5PM so if you need any medications, food or have any concerns please give us a call.

We will see everyone after the Labor Day weekend and hope everyone has a safe holiday! 🐾
